Hmm, MK6 this year? Hmm, that doesn't sound good. Too early, I think. I know MK is Midway's strong game but, it won't be good if it comes out this year.
Peace.
Peace.

I was thinking the same thing.
I would much rather it come out in 2005.
Oh well....

they been working on mk6 after mkda was released. so im sure it's going along well and had plenty of time as well. unless there having problems dont expect the game to delayed into next year.

i think this game needs to be released this year because people are already tired of playing mk:Da.
if the game is near finish, it should come out this fall.

I have doubt about MKVI coming this year. =\

don't have doubt if the game comes out this year. You may be thinking that because we haven't got any images or much info on MK6. Thats because last time, there was too much info released about MKDA.. and the crew didn't really like that. So, because of that... they're being more wrapped up about MK6. Who knows, the game could possibly be say, 25% complete by now? Maybe more.

I also think that MK6 will not come out this year. Since the MK team are making it more platform specific in order to take and advantage of each consoles hardware, they will need alot more time than they've spent on the MKDA development.

Whether it comes out this year or not I'm just glad MK is finally getting more attention. As long as the game is fully finished and everything is fine they should release when its done whether its this year or next.

Exactly. I think they've completed much more then that even. I think fifty or sixty percent would be a better estimate. Look at the way IGN is talking. They obviously know something we don't, and their sources are cunning enough so that even though they can't get the info from Midway, they can get close enough to know something big is going on.

I hope it is this year, as long as all the bugs are worked out and is more thourghly done than MK:DA just give me a new MK game that is 100% done not 90%
Yet i do believe this si the start of the news for mk6, they are gonna push the news more and more so its gonna seem like 3 more years so i will be anticipating it more and more each day

The gap between MK4 and MK:DA was so long due to the fact that Team Boon decided to rebuild the entire game engine. However, MK6 needs no new game engine. In fact, if I am not mistaken, the MK:DA engine was built to be expandable. That being said, the game engine is already established and now they are likely busy creating new character models, backdrops, and cinematics. More importantly, however, is the integration of online gameplay. If Team Boon plays it smart, they will revolve the gameplay on multi-play for online gamers but still create a powerful single player aspect. With their vast experience in this area, I would say that putting the game on shelves by Christmas 2004 is not only possible, but also an intelligent move for all the kiddies getting online.

I second that.
