spoiling everything about the game, Midway

dont buy the game then!!!

Well, Fuck off Dave. You may not care about having all the secrets, characters, fatalities and stories revealed before the game hits, but I do. And other people do...but then again you're obviously not a true MK fan anyway. MK1 crappy? You've got some real intelligent posts on this board, kiddo. Do you think you're cool going around, looking at people's signatures and flaming them? Are you that much of a loser that you get off on stuff like that? You'll probably say something like 'Then don't come to this site'. Well, true, but then again I've been here since '99, before you probably even knew of its existence.

Are you sure that first '2' in your supposed age of '22' isn't a 1? Act your age you piss ant.

Holy... Crap!

That is some really awesome news for me (and for some others here): I was this close to buy a modded Xbox from a friend by the "modical" price of $210 dollars! Now, I say "piss off" to him grin. Altough I already sold my Cube I guess I should get it again, it won't be no more than $118 at GameStop (with international shipping).

Also, I kept my Cube MKDA copy with me, so I'll get to play that again as well!

As for online: even though I'd had the Xbox version and the fact that I have broadband (finally) at home, I guess that service I'd have to pay it to play the game online... Or Am I wrong? I hope no because I need no Xbox: on Cube I get MKDA, MKD, the new Zelda, Resident Evil 4 and maybe Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes! Maybe for Xbox MKD and a bunch of cheap copied games on DVD-R discs that I really don't care and would never care!

I'm really happy!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Holy crapola! To think a few weeks ago I was torn that PAL versions weren't likely to have special boxart, and I couldn't import since I don't have a mod on my Xbox or PS2. If only it were on GameCube, then I'd be in to win!

Now I'm over the moon. Blood, Gore and Random Body Parts makes it's triumphant return to GC! Oh, I can't wait! I'm glad that it's scheduled for early 2005 as odd as that is - there's SO many games I'll be getting over the next few months, I don't feel that MKD would get all the attention it deserves from me if I were to get it for PS2 or Xbox :)

Since everyone is getting mkd for the cube to get the special feautures midway is only making more money, that ́s good.

and I do somehow believe that the cubeversion will come out earlier than 2005. Why wait 3 or more months for a port that doesn ́t have online capabilites?

And I hope mkd delay the pal version. If I remember the pal version of mkda came out 4-6 months later than the american version. It ́s not good to release games later on other continents.

What? confused

It better not get delayed too long in PAL territories. I'm dying to get my hands on this sucker. I hope the 2 new features aren't something that require the GBA in any way.

Shit... now I'm confused on what to do. I only own a gamecube, but was planning on buying a ps2. Now that it's coming to the cube, but later...I don't know what to do. I'm a huge mk fan... and would love to get the game the day it's released... instead of having to wait an extra 3 months. Anyone in the same position?

Actually, yes, I'm in the same position as well. I only own a GC, and I recently pre-ordered the PS2 version, with intentions of buying the system during the Christmas holidays (that way I wouldn't be tempted to play the game while I was attending school), but now that I heard about the GC version coming out, I'll probably cancel my pre-order. Considering I wouldn't be able to play the game right away, what's another couple of months? Plus, I don't have to buy a new system this way. grin

Chances are the two "special features" in the game will be the stuff that was available with the pre-order of the X-Box/PS2 versions (MK1 arcade port and the extra bios). I doubt that they'd try to shaft the people who ordered the game earlier for the aforementioned systems.

Cool. Now I don't have to get a PS2, but 'm gonna get one anyways, for other games.

I think that the 2 new features in the GC version will just be the extra bios and MK1, like the Kollector's Edition things for the other systems.

GC fans have to wait longer as well.

MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED !!!

Thank you, Midway ! Thank you, Ed Boon ! You are not the miserly, spineless bastards that I thought you were ! Just when I was about to make an insult thread about how much I hate you, you go and change my mind ! Now I won't have to download MK:Deception on an emulator !

As for "Gamecube is scared of violence and blood", WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN SMOKING ?!

And welcome back, Switcher. Long time no see.

I'm glad Gamecube owners are going to be getting MK:D, but I don't really get why Midway is going to strip the online play out. Its' not like the gamecube isn't cappable of online gaming. It has a modem, and Phantasy Star Onine is online for the system. It's no differnt that the PS2 service where the developer will have to support the servers to run the game. Midway is already going to be investing in servers to run MK:D for the PS2, why not get some more for the Gamecube version. Also considering that petions are what got the game to the system in the first place, if Midway was to leave online play in and Nintendo sees how well it does for an online game they could reconsider there stance on supporting online play. Considering that MK:D will not be a nitch game like Phantasy Star was, it will have much bigger sales numbers. Just my opinion though.

I just hope what ever exclusives are offered to the gamecube are released as downloadable conent for the PS2 & Xbox at some point. It would really suck for PS2 & Xbox owners if Gamecube owners got some exclusive characters, and stages.
