If it is brought back with MK:D, I think that there should be different grades of impaling, like:

1) A total miss: you've missed them entirely and left yourself WIDE OPEN to counter-attack. You still have your weapon.

2) A knick: You've tried to impale them and only just got them, you still have your weapon.

3) Minor impale: You've got them, and it's in them, but it falls out when they counter-attack

4) Typical Impale: You'ved got them, and it's in them, but it falls out when they attack another 7 times. (Ie, punch 7 times, kick 7 times, whatever)

5) Major impale: You've got them, it's in them, and it falls out after 15 punches/kicks

6) Ownage: It's in them, and there is no way in hell that sucker is coming out.

All these depend on how well it is done, how close you are, how well the other person defends/dodges.

Once a weapon falls out, it is on the ground waiting for someone to pick it up, much like the thrown weapons in MK4.

that would be cool great idea

I definately want it back. I dont think you should be able to block it because that is unrealistic. I do think you should be able to remove it or it shouod fall out with enough of an ass wooping. Also if you are unable to block it there shopuld be an escape for every style as to dodge it. Also it was too repetitive, it was alwasy the same. With some work it could be cool. Either way I want it back no matter what.

Hell yes and more of them. I wanted it for all the characters. I liked how some people impaled threw the stomach and some in the knees. I hated Kitana's. It was fast but If she missed you did not have a weapon and the enemy could beat you down. The demo at e3 did not have the impales. I hope they bring it back. I like the idea of pulling out the weapon, but it should take time or take a chunck of health away. I was just thinking about stage weapons and if they could impale. Damn that would be some major damage. Yes Yes Yes please bring this back.

How would Drahmin impale? That would be really kool to see. His hand stuck in the opponent's body, while you fight with only one hand.

Impaling was the worst addition in MK:DA. My friend would just pick characters with impale weapons and try to stab me the entire time and just back away from me like a pussy. As for MK:D, we know that Nightwolfs arrows stick in you but do they drain health? If they do...expect impaling to be back.

The Nightwolf arrow move looked awesome. Did you that he shot two arrows and both gut stuck in the opponent's stomach... that was kool. grin

Yes, but not the way they had it in MK:DA. I think that an impale should only sap away only 1/4 or 1/3 of the enemy's life at the most or have a time constraint like 5 seconds or so. I think that impaling projectiles should be taken out. That is abosultely insane. It doesnt look like it takes much time for nightwolf to shoot his arrow. If any impaling is in MK:D, it should take away a portion of life(not the whole thing) and should be very hard to do.

I would like the impale move to return if it was set out like one of the members here stated before with the number of hits determines whether or not you get the weapon out of your body.
