i would have preferred Kung Lao over Jax and sonya they could have just picked one of those instead of both.

Well Rain is my favorite character,he wasn't mentioned or shown in the storyline at all,But I can see him and Aquaman being counterparts as DLC...

Anyone else think the same?

eh, I would have done things differently had I decided the MK side of the Roster.

I understand the need to put well known characters in, but I don't think that those are the only kind of characters that needed to be in. How else are lesser know characters supposed to get a chance to be realised and even loved if they aren't in anything. With the Superhero motif of the DC side, I would have gone with more power oriented/Mystical characters from the MK side. Characters like Sindel, Blind Kenshi, Nightwolf and Quan Chi.

I guess the roster is kinda okay. But why skip out on any MK3 + new characters. I probably would have had at least one new character representative of Every Mortal Kombat.

The roster's fine. The only truly questionable omission is Cage, and even then not so much as he has as many haters as he does fans. IMO, people asking for more and more characters leads to crap like Armageddon. I'm glad they toned things down.

Anyway, we all know this is what DLC is for. Reptile will be around, just wait.

Why in the bluest of blue hell is Baraka there? He didn't do anything at all in the story mode. He had like two lines. This game needs Johnny Cage

Eh...Baraka in a non M-Rated game is a waste IMO. I really don't care too much about him, but Reptile would of been a better fit.

Other than that, Kung Lao is the only character I'll complain about.

Now that I've played it, I'm glad my favorites aren't in this game. This isnt' mortal kombat. The fatalities are for Kindergarten. Save the good characters for the violence.

So you would rather have over the top violence with pools of blood and tons of gore...instead of actual focus on gameplay and unique complete characters.

There were a lot of characters that I'd like to see included that weren't (Reptile in particular, preferably in lizard form). For the most part, considering the nature of the game, I can't fault the MK team too much. They had the unenviable task of making an MK game which had a roster only half-full of MK characters. That said, I would've liked it if they would've tossed in an additional 2 characters per side and got a bit braver with the choices for both.

I would've liked at least 5 more iconic characters on both sides. However, I couldn't believe they used Baraka and Kano over Kung Lao and Johnny Cage. Also, how can you include Kitana and have no Mileena in a game like this? That's like having Sub-Zero and no Scorpion.

Anyway I hope they add Reptile, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, Mileena and Goro or Quan Chi as playable characters in DLC.

I suppose on the MK side they wanted to include iconic characters that have appeared in almost every game. If that was the case, then why go with characters such as Baraka and Kano when they were not in as many games as Reptile, Kung Lao and Johnny Cage were.

It lacks females.

Mileena, Jade, and Sindel... ANY of them would have made it so much better.

Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed.

I expected Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sonya, Shang Tsung, Kitana, Liu Kang, and Raiden.

I had a hunch Jax would come in to fill the whole "racial quota" that MK is so fond of (look at Kai's bio card if you don't believe me). But after a little while I began to understand his relevance to the story with Special Forces and whatnot.

Kano and Baraka are what really irked me, though. Both could have been easily replaced by Mileena, Kung Lao, Cage, or Reptile. I would really like to hear the team's justification for picking Kano and Baraka over the four the fans were asking for. To make it worse, their roles in story mode were minor and they could have been replaced by more interesting characters.
