Thats what I thought. On the "Official Sit launch Trailer #3" At the end on on Kira's Fatality after the 2nd knife his their foot if u pause it u can see a clear shot of Kobra and it looks just like JC.

Kobra is a member of the Black Dragon. Kobra is connected to Kabal and Kira. Johnny Cage is in this game as story support. Johnny Cage has nothing to do with Kobra at all. All we know is that Johnny Cage was defeated by the Deadly Alliance along with Kitana, Sonya, Kung Lao, and Jax.

Be sweet if he was kobra incognito would make him a little more intersting.

Nah, they're not the same, but some people think Kobra could be the codename for Daniel Blade (Sonya's "deceased" brother). It would be interesting if Daniel faked his own death so he could live a life of crime and freedom, since his father and sister are military figures. I think Sonya chases Kano for that reason as well, so in a way her "personal" grudge against Kano would have been for false reasons.
Just speculation, though.
