Is Deception likely to be Sub-Zero and Scorpion's last MK?????

I know that with the Dragon Medallion Sub-Zero's ice powers are growing every second but he is getting on now with his increased aging process, he's quite an old man now as can be seen, does this mean he will die soon, not because of the Tekunin, Red Dragon or the Dragon King but because he is too old??? it's logical

I've been thinking of ways that that can Sub-Zero can be prevented from leaving the series this way how does "Sub-Zero, God of Ice" sound??? it'll make sure he's in future MK games for now and he could miss a game while he accends to his new status for non- Sub-Zero fans.

This also opens the door for Smoke's future involvement in Deception and other games, he could becom the new grand master of the Lin Kuei. Just a thought but no matter how much i think Smoke will develop as a character his existance will always revolve around Sub-Zero, so he might aswell be given a good job being Sub-Zero's ally, and maybe as the new Grand Master Smoke could be given the Dragon Medallion by Sub-Zero giving him the power to escape that damn cyborg body, if he's not already done so.

As for Scorpion his story about getting revenge is just dragging on and getting old, but once he gets his revenge and kills quan chi won't that be the end for him??? his mission forfilled and his soul finally rests, unless from nowhere someone else close to him is murdered and off he goes again on the trail of revenge.

Ed Boon said that there won't be new MK game without Subby and Scorp.

I hope you're wrong cause a MK without scorpion and subzero is like mcdonalds without burgers.

I think Sub-Zero will figure something out. Boon's not going to let Sub-Zero die of old age (but until he gets his youth back, I'm still pissed with his character design). The God of Ice theory is great, I think (Raiden, get off your ass and help the guy out) and Smoke taking over as Grand Master would be a logical step.

As for Scorpion's revenge story getting old... yeah, it kinda is. But, revenge is still more interesting than what Sub-Zero's motivation is. What exactly is Sub-Zero's motivation again? Scorpion is neutral, remember, so don't expect him to be hunting Quan Chi forever. Who knows? Perhaps he'll exact his revenge against former Lin Kuei members, or remember his promise to be Sub-Zero's protector and form a truce. Scorpion's path could go anywhere. Sub-Zero's is at a standstill, but could, also, go anywhere.

you're very right, i would like to see scorpion get involved with sub-zero again.

yea man you are totally right, MK would suck without Sub Zero and Scorpion, I mean they are the first people you think of when you here Mortal kombat.Leaving them out of a game would be really stupid because those two are the trademarks of Mortal Kombat, you just can't leave them out and hope to have a good MK game.

Oh and I agree with you on what you said FLstyle about Sub Zero's and Scorpion's possible stories.Good ideas and thoeries

I'd like to mention that there's never been an official statement to back up the fact that Sub-Zero is old now. Obviously he looks old, but he's more powerful than ever. Also, did it ever occur to you all that the Dragon Amulet may expand his life span? I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

no complaints from me if that's the case i'm all for an all powerful, extended life span Sub-Zero, it's another step towards Sub-Zero becoming more god-like

Also there is the fact that Sub Zero could have an offspring and he would become the next Sub Zero but what here is mention sounds more logical w/the Medallion letting him live longer. Plus Boon already said that as long as he makes an MK game Sub Zero and Scorpion would be in the game. With the brilliant minds Boon and company have they'll come up with something for each.

Its either sub-zero gets his youth back or he dies. I hate what they have done to him. He should have a son and he could join the lin kuei. Sub-zero could just be the grandmaster and watch over his son as he progresses in his life.

A little off topic but when smoke returns how do you think he will react when he sees sub-zero all old and shit. Smoke is around subs normal age, about in his 30s. Smoke probably wont want to join with sub-zero. He will just say your an old bat and i dont like you anymore.

In order for Sub Zero to remain in the game:

1- He loses the medallion, it gets stolen thus reversing the aging process.

2- He dies and is replaced by a newer or older Sub Zero.

3- The Dragon Medallion makes him immortal.

4- He becomes a God.

Scorpion will stay as long as he has something to do.

Here's mine.
The Dragon Medallion makes the grandmaster of the Lin Kuei age very quickly. That is why in MK3 they were trying to convert Subzero into a cyborg. This is why Cyrax and Sektor were converted to cyborgs. If one of them was to become the grandmaster and obtain the amulet they would age and die much quicker.
Now the medallion is affecting Subzero. He is aging at a much faster rate. He needs to find a solution and fast. He tracks down Smoke as Smoke can access the data on how to convert Subzero into a cyborg ninja and where and who could to do such a delicate procedure. The only doctor that can do the procedure is working for the Tekkiun (Sektor's new clan). Now Subzero has to find Sektor and ask for his help. Sektor and Smoke then ambush Subzero. They attack him and leave him for dead and steal the Dragon Medallion. Thus the effects of the dragon medallion are reversed and Subzero returns to his normal state.

the whole story for smoke is completely wide open, no-one knows what he is back for, whether he is good or evil and then there's the huge arguement about what he will look like.

even before Deception is released Smoke has been one of the most discussed characters to date he's already one of my favourites.

i never thought about the whole cyborgs getting back together thing, although Sub-Zero does already have enough people going after him as it is, then again he is the Lin Kuei grand master, anyone under his training must be good, look at Frost, she turned out evil in her ending but she was one hell of a fighter, imagine a whole clan of fighters all like her fighting alongside Sub-Zero, i think it's safe to say this isn't going to be a tournament, it's another all out war with Sub-Zero as one of the central characters (hopefully)
