It seems like he is, but I wouldn't know because I can only see half of his chest. Maybe his pants are halfway up on his bellybutton. He does have a opened vest on though.

He's wearing a shirt but no vest.
The shirt's color is almost the same as his skin and it's hard to see, but it's there. EDIT: I looked again and it looks more like he has his alternate outfit from MK:DA, you can see the flaps from his shirt hanging over his pants.

How come Kabal has his trenchcoat on, when it was Mavado's in the first place? (Mavado took the hookswords, Kabal took the Mavcoat) , okay both can have several wardrobes, and Kabal had both sleeves torn off.

I was thinking he's shirtless too. It definately looks like armbands. I do think for costumes that people are reading into these a bit. Given it's meant to be the MK Trilogy for this generation, I think we'll see alot of alternate costumes...here's a close up of Kano though...

Kabal was intended to have the trench coat in MK3 when he was designed (way before mavado) but technical difficulties didn't allow for him to have one. When they went into 3D they gave Kabal both the trenchcoat and the backpack respirator in his design.

You can see him more clearly at 00:24 - in the frame right after Shao Khan clears (when Goro is still doing his growling thing).

I guess now that Kano has more muscles; after eating KanO's cereal. He wants to show them

Kano is shirtless. Hopefully this is a hint that we will see new costumes or changed designs in MkA.

Honestly, i prefer him being shirtless. He looked much cooler, evil and/or punkish (?) without a vest or whatever.

I thought the vest made him look tough.
But he should also get his MK3 costume back.

Vest or no vest, it's Kano. Therefore he sucks!
