Unfortunately, I have information that contradicts this post. Reptile's MKDA bio. That clearly states that Reptile actually found Shao Kahn's dead body.
(this was taken directly from Reptile's MKDA bio) "Eager to relay all that he had learned, Reptile raced back to Shao Kahn's fortress, only to discover him lying dead on the throne room floor."

Yea thats a pretty significant piece of info but it still doesnt rule him out from makin a return. He may come out of the netherealm.

True, but the only thing worse than one's soul being in the Netherealm is one's soul having been stolen by Shang Tsung. If Shang Tsung has Shao Kahn's soul, then Shang Tsung has to die before Shao Kahn can EVER have a chance of coming back. So far, he's already got Liu Kang's soul (which explains why he has the Liu Kang-style fireball instead of his old flaming skull fireball in MKDA).

well kahn may be dead but death doesnt seem to really ever stop someone from coming back

but it should now.

hopefully the storyline has evolved tp the point where things can actually change

Shang taking Kahn's soul is not likely. I think it would be too powerful to observe and Shang attept would be his undoing.

you know your all talking about if shao kahn will be back but i wanna know if lui will be back. his soul did go in kanos body but any way i htink that kahn should come back just as the dragon king is about to win and ssmash him in the back of the head with a hammer killing him and re-takeing his thron.then after he kills him everybody will think of that the deseption and then kahn takes off his mask and its reiko

Or Reptile could've seen what he THOUGHT was Shao Kahn's body when in reality it was a decoy.

Right, Daemos. At that point in time Reptile was hallucinating anyway, if I remember the Konquest mode storyline correctly.

Thats true. Rep couldve been really distruaght over the fact that he failed Kahn. So anything could be possible. Id be ecstatic if Kahn comes back.......

I'd like to see Khan come back as a regular playable character, with good moves and fatalities, out for revenge on Shang Tsung and Quan Chi.
