I personally don't like the charracter herself... but she had good moves. Now they took most of those moves away and she prety much sucks for me...

Sonya Blade is by far the best female character in all the series! Even though Nitara is my favorite, I can’t deny Sonya is easily better at everything! We have seen her since the beginning of the tournaments being one very important element in the war against evil. Just like the MKGOLD cheats book says: She is a Deadly weapon.

Sonya Blade is a must. This chick has simply proven to be better then most of the top male characters or any female. She is one of the originals, I'm almost sure she is the teams favorite girl!

Earth needs General Sonya Blade.

-Good story
-Excellent Special Moves
-Brutal Fatalities
-Awesome looks
-Powerful Styles
-Potential

She is a classic that can do much!

hella yea just give her and special forces a lil more storyline and she will be not just GOOD but GREAT.

MK1 - She was the best character due to her mixup and the infinite leg grab glitch.

MK3 - Very fast sweep and great anti air.
UMK3 - Same as MK3 but with a POPUP!

MK4/G - Very nice moves...but they left her open badly if blocked/avoided. And her weapon sucked. She was ok at best.

MKDA - One of the best in the game.

All in all, I really like Sonya and she will always be one of my favorite characters to play as.

That whole Special Forces thing is a little played out. She is the same in every game she's in. They need to revitalize her character if they want me to like her, maybe she could get captured by the Red/Black Dragon and be under mind control secretly working for them while plotting the downfall of the Special Forces.

Its funny how I think she is such a powerful part in the storyline and game, when before I used to hate her so much! Till MKDA of course.

I think the majority agrees deception will be a deception with out the original babe of the game. Boon better be reading this!

Scorpion is my fave character though, but I guess we all knew he was gonna be back. But Mk is not Mk with out Ms. ass kicking Blade.

I have to agree with almost every person in this thread! Sonya Blade is not only a good character, but one of the best. She is a Top Tier fighter in the games, and a very important character in the world of Mk.

No. I never liked Sonya. Her story was always lame, and I never got the feeling that she was important to the story at all. She's always chasing Kano, and that's it. Kano at least has a different story...in MK3 he couldn't be bothered with Sonya, and in MKDA, in his ending, he just happened to cross paths with her and used the amulet to have the army murder her...an ending which I hope happens...maybe not using the amulet, but Kano finally killing her. By now, in MK6, Sonya just serves no purpose at all. The game would be better off without her. Unfortunately that would mean the removal of Jax too, one of my favorites, since without Sonya, there's no need for Jax. Unfortunately, I'm sure the same old, boring Sonya will be back in MK6, with the same old boring story, except this time they'll be after Mavado and the Red Dragon instead.

Me too, queve. She has to return. It wouldn't be MK without her!

Probably the only thing I would like to change a bit is her story. She has to stay in the SF, but maybe twist the story abit like making her work with Kano or turn evil.

But her story is good, I like the fact she fights earth crime organizations.

I have always liked the idea of making Sonya evil for one game. It would be interesting to see her fight her confused friends and even try to kill them. Spy on her team and give away info for the Dragon king.

It would be sad but kind a cool to see her crying at the end when the spell is broken. She is holding the dead body of Jax she killed him. And thanks to that, she finds more hate inside of her (if thats possible) to kill the Great King.

Yeah, I like the idea of sonya turning evil too. Your story is good queve. This is my idea for her. Maybe the Dragon King has somehow managed to manipulate or take control of her and is using her to spy on his adversaries. In this way, he can keep one step ahead of them and acheive victory. Also, he could use her to try and handicap the Earth warriors by screwing up their plans or maybe injuring them in fake sparring matches and stuff. Someone like Nightwolf, Raiden or Kenshi may sense something is wrong when this happens, especially if she acts like she doesn't care. What would be interesting is seeing Sonya trying to break fee of his control by doing things she wouldn't normally do to try and make the Earth warriors and Raiden realise she isn't herself. Once he is done with her, maybe he'll kill her or leave her to die but she is found by Jax and her body is badly battered.

In anycase, I like Sonia because even though she is a female character she is perhaps the only non-immortal character from the original game who has not died. I know technically Kano also has survived, but I can hope he's finally dead at Mavado hands since Sonia does need a updated storyline. Also, in MKDA she had some of the best fighting moves and most complex fighting combos. (A whole lot better than in MK4)
