No! Mavado only defeated her. He never killed her!

Here's the Konquest passage:

Mavado traversed to Outworld with Shang Tsung and Quan Chi and parted ways to search for the man they believed to be a spy from Earthrealm's Special Forces. Surprisingly, the first agent he encountered was Sonya Blade. Mavado had no idea how she had gotten to Outworld after Hsu Hao had destroyed the Special Forces base, but he knew he would have to eliminate her in order to continue his search in secret. Mavado defeated Sonya Blade and continued the hunt for the Special Forces spy that the Deadly Alliance felt to be a danger to their regime.

yep and besides MK: DA konquest is pre MK: DA. The events that lead up to it.

Mhm and in Sonya's konquest SHE defeated him. So there is clashing information. As always... Midway should get their story straight.

Sonya, IMO, is a character who should have been put out of her misery aeons ago.

Hey! she was good in MK1-3-4!! Although they should put her out of her misery now...

I'm hoping she won't be dead in Deception, but if she is I'll deal. As for Konquest, those are just for their little journey and don't really matter for the actual ending. [in DA, at least, I have no idea for Deception.]

As for the others that seem to hate her in this thread.. *cough* nevermind. That boot and immune game, which I did not participate in, didn't make her look any better, so I will keep my mouth shut.

Oh, good. I thought I was the only one who felt that way. Sonya served her purpose in MK1, and now she should go away.

Although Sonya was "killed" in Kano's ending (which is pure crap), she'll be alive, but if she isn't in the game, it's because she's busy running the SF, while Jax, Kenshi & Cyraqx were made part of her little branch.

I think Sonya should become head of Earth's defenses against other realms... therfore she is still important to the MK story but she is not a fighter... unless something HUGE happens

DONt talk about the boot and immune game like u know what ur talking about.. in the 1st game a sonya fan had to make almost 10 clone accounts to make sonya win.. then spent the next 10 games booting kitana.. once he was caught kitana won.. kitana fans didnt have to cheat to get her to win 1..the final round was a result of all that..

I agree, She was great in MK1 and was ok in MK3 but after that i thought her story was just boring.

Yeah, that's her problem: Her story sucks. Sonya Blade and her goofy band of do-gooders strive to protect Earthrealm. Nice enough to start a story, but the same crap retold year after year with next to no development... Midway - do us all a favour.

That IS exactly what I was talking about. Don't get your panties in a twist. I was just stating a reason why I wasn't going to hound about why people who hate the character should be nice. u.u;

i dont wear panties.. no my point was that both have lots of fans.. its funny how fans of both hate the other.. weird..

I think there's a bit of a rivalry between Sonya and Kitana fans because they are both cotender's for the lead female role in the Mortal Kombat universe. No two male MK characters are this neck and neck (Liu Kang leads by far). The reason why there are a lot of fans that like BOTH Scorpion and Sub-Zero because they're very similiar characters appearance-wise. As well as their stories being intertwined. Kitana and Mileena are another two like this.

If Kitana and Sonya had something to do with each other I think they'd be a lot of split fans.
