This whole thing, again, seems to correlate with what I was told to pay attention to (IE: what the people say). There are a few lines in this posting that seem to be pointing to something, do notice that also; especially these three (*). One also seems to point to something someone else mentioned, regarding a way to reach an UL. As far as I know this one post still has not been confirmed.

If you all notice, this guy who posted this also seems to notice the same trend I have, and even mentions this at the end of his post. I just wanted to show you this, to prove to you again, that there is something different about how this game feels than in previous games. Once again, I have noticed that there are some similarities to Onimusha 2, and how you have to unlock its SU’s. Just the fact alone, that lots of items are triggered in many ways is a good sign, for me, that I am onto something here, with regards to actions vs. UL’s.

I have just found something else that is very interesting. I don't know what the validity is of it, but seems so credible. It also, seems to fit, what I have been told about finding an UL. It's worth checking out. If any of you are close to this date, would you please try it out? Let us know for sure if it works or not. Thnx!

Johnny Cage is an unlockable character. I was in year 86, March 4th. Edenia. D-7. Old man in cloak walking around. Talk to him. He says "...." and walks away. Punch him afterwards.. goes to cut scene. Old man takes off robe and is Johnny Cage. He shadow kicks you "PREPARE FOR KOMBAT". When you beat him, he is unlockable. SOMEBODY FIND THE OTHER SUPER UNLOCKABLE

I vaguely remember we've all done this haven't we? Anyway if I am wrong and we have not I'd say it could be something significant.

Can anyone that knows this guy "theseventhnumber" and ask him to try and confirm this whole thing with Johnny Cage? I seriously want to know if it's true or not.

Okay, now I am really bothered by this whole thing about Johnny being one of the UL's. I just found a few other post's that claim they too have unlocked Johnny by doing what is listed above. Can anyone who is on or close to that year please confirm this? I need to know! Being that I am no where near that year, I have no way of knowing for sure, wether or not this is all true.

Remides me of a fight with LK . He paces in front some doors. If you beat him he walks off(or was it dissapears?) and people start walking out of the building. I though that was one of the stranges things I saw in the whole konquest. I can't recal if you can get into the building or not.
I take it nobody has figured out how to get into the big locked building in the Netherrelm yet.

I have been pondering SU's for a while,reading threads about them and all the different ideas.I read about the nexus chest and also the white portal so I focused on that for a while and I noticed that there is a circular space in the middle that was not occupied by a realm totem.The space appears to have a skull like impression if you you pan around just right you can kinda see into it.I was thinking that possibly that might be the place where you would put Quan Chi's belt disk that the dragon king grabbed in the intro movie.I wonder....

I noticed the same thing. You never know, it just might be of some importance towards the game.

Right now, I am trying to do puzzle kombat because I love that game and there might be something unlockable.....(just a thought)

as most people will tell you, it is hard not to be sceptical when someone says they've gotten inside info. but i do like your theories. i may not post too much because ive been all over forums everywhere about su's, but if i find anything concrete, or worth another look i tell you. its just that im kindda tired from this whole thing.
Now i think that the village part of earthrealm is very important. there are many things about this place that i just don't get. I have also done as you did by completing all the training in the village, but not as far as going outside. and i have been all over that place, with little success of anything concrete. i have created a profile that is just limmited to the village so i can easily go back and try this or that. one of the things that bothered me in this place all the way to the end of the village. right before you talk with bo ri cho that last time. it is the area to the right. it is a big area, that maybey is just left over because the mk team didn't have time to make it something. or maybey it turs into something.

I don't buy that all the hex code has been poored over. I wanna see this hex code that everyone's talking about. Besides if they have some insane hacker working for them and I'm sure they have more than one of them they have probably hidden it in the code and possibly disguised it as something else. THEY KNOW that people are using crap to dump their code and stuff so ... disguise it as something else. Not entirely impossible especially when you're dealing w/ professionals. Super Unlockable would ceartainly imply that you wouldn't be able to find it so easily. Maybe you're looking in all the wrong places. Both systems have internet functionallity perhaps something will trigger a download of something that doens't currently exist in game?

That Johnny Cage thing does not work. I decided to try it out since I already meditated close to that year because of that stupid Fujin rumor put out awhile ago.
It would be really difficult to hide anything and I doubt the MK team took the time to do that. You can use hex editors or decompilers to look through game code and peice things together.
I wouldn't suggest looking in Konquest any longer. Its best to try button combinations in different areas.

someone mentioned that they found a dead person that looked like goro in the netherrealm. That person is sheeva and she is in the house next to jerek (on his right) i dont know why she is there but she is, and also there is a strange onyx coin that you cant pick up because it is in an area that you cant get to. It is just behind the caosrealm portal( in caosrealm not the nexus) and if you walk to the left a bit you can see it floating there. Why put a coin in a place where it cannot be gotton? hmmm...

the text in the netherrealms is missing some text............ the backwards audio is not what the text says i have taken this audio and revered it to hear what they say and its some different storys and gags like one says "im talking backwards spooky isnt it"? and one says "frost is merly hybernating". "and there are many realms" and "sho kahn" now i have these saved and can have them uploaded i just need to see if anyone else is doing this to search for secrets i still have a few more people outside of the city to record let me know if you would like to hear these

That wouldnt be missing text. The audio file played backwards is an audio file and wouldnt be in the hex file.
We have had the backwards audio reversed for quite some time. It has some nice backstory peices, but nothing else important.

If you want to look at the code all you have to do is pop the game disk into a computer's DVD drive. There are some free editors you can download real quick. The main program file is Slus_208.81 . Then there is the MKDA.pak file that has most of the main data in the game. The Slus_208.81 file is the file that is the "Brain" of the game. It is what controls everything. What happens when. The pak file is the big ass file that holds most of the game content.. All the character modles, stages, textures(image files, konquest text, ect. are almost all put into this one file and extracted piece by piece by the program file as they are needed. The pak file is a big security feature so people cant get into the game files and mess with things. If someone cracked this file open we could do all kinds of cool things like making custom costumes and such. Possibly even porting something from MKDA over to MKD Which would be WAY COOL.
When looking through the code all you can really see is the stuff that "Happens" to be stored in text. From there you just have to try and figure out whats going on. Its not required that anything be stored as text really but a lot of things are for ease of programing. From the look of what is in the code and what has been found using cheat devices, there is no real reason to think they were being clever and stored stuff we haven't found as far as people go. But if you want to have a look yourself all you really need is a DVD drive in a computer, the game, and a program to look at the data. You don't even need a Hex editor. You can just use a text editor that can handle large files. Because your really looking for text strings and not Hex values. Hex editors and text editors are almost 2 flavors of the same thing.
One think I do find interesting looking at the code is the program file asks for specific files by name, but in the pack file that name dosn't seam to illistrate where that file is within the pak file. Which is odd because why are they asking for Jade.mko when the pak file has no entry for Jade.mko to tell it where to load? It has the name referenced but all the file names are together which means they can't possibly be the starting point of needed data. They could all point to where the data is I guess. That just rambling really. If its confusing, thats because it probably is.

I hope this game has SU's since if it doesn't it's life is really short. People got through it in 2 DAYS. But if there's something like a SU soon it's a month. That's a really good improvement. I think every one here would like to see SU's.

Has anyone researched the indentation on the side of the temple wall in the village? On the left side of the monk temple there is a chest and a square indentation the size of a door. I meditated for a 24 hour period and nothing happened. Perhaps on a certain day or month it opens. Also, all you have to do to get into that area is walk around the monk who says you can't enter. You can then talk to the other 2 monks and roam around. Just in case some of you didn't know.

I bet your source is also your imaginary friend.
