I still think it's possible that these are early screens, which have been adapted since. This is why Li Mei and Kobra have Deadly Alliance weapons...at E3 Li Mei has different weapons. If this is the case, then i also think it's possible that the green outfit and Li Mei's purple outfit have changed colour since...Li Mei has been seen to wear the same outfit but it's dark blue. Also in Deadly Alliance, you can fight a colour swapped version of your character...Sonya had a white jacket and a purple top...maybe these shots show colour testing?
I dunno, i still think it's Tanya, and I would love it to be. I don't mind if Jade is in it either, but I think we need some answers...this is so god damn confusing!

I would just like to point out that they gave Noob Saibot human skin for one costume. Skin color means nothing, as far as the MKD team is concerned.

For the record, I hope to GOD it's Jade.

I believe it is Jade, because green is her trademark colour, not tanya's. Putting Tanya in green is like making Scorpion wear blue, doesn't work.

I wonder if this means that both girls are in, or that Jade is replacing Tanya. Remember the negative feedback when Tanya was announced, switching one for the other is possible (especially with similar character models). The Tanya puzzle screenshot is an older one, it might be like the old chess pictures which showed Kitana and Quan Chi, but neither are in the game (yet).

As for the "Jade's in prison, so can't be a fighter" argument, I think the characters in the prison were just shown as examples, and the final game will have others in there. Look at Fujin and Jarek, they're MK4 models, so I think those were just early "look, we can have older characters in backgrounds this time" and that they are work in progress. Why ressurect a dead, irrelevant guy like Jarek, even just for a background?

I don't know... You would think you would see Tanya in her default costume first than her alternate costume(Not including that puzzle kombat one). So its Jade until its been proven that its Tanya for me.

There were alot of rumors back awhile ago that Tanya is Jade's sister. If it's not Jade, perhaps its Tanya on a mission to rescue her sister and she's wearing green to honor her. Though she was evil last time we saw her, nothing yet has stated Tanya has any love for the Dragon King, or hates her sister.

That's just going on some old insider rumors though.

i agree 100% ..i dont c y we would see tanyas alt 1st,besides from what i remember in the puzzle kombat tanya had longer hair.. it has to be JADE!!!

ya know this pic with Jade and Kabal in it is definitely the Prison Stage so I'm guessing that it's Jade as a hidden fighter (notice it's at least one level up from the floor level)

Who knows. Id love for it to be Jade, but considering that Tanya is confirmed, well, then I guess I don't really know. And even though they are swapping around character colors, going from yellow to green is a bit strange, considering Midway knows Jade is the original green girl. I bet they are doing this on purpose, just to get everyone excited.

It would have to be Jade look she is wearing GREEN obviosly and she has tan skin. All of that leads to Jade. Like ive said before Boon said Tanya will get a whole different look to what she has before so if we see a chick that looks brand new it might be Tanya. We just have to wait for three months or if Boon himself says Jade is in it.

Maybe, maybe not. But there are differences between Li Mei and Jade. Li Mei does not have a trademark colour, Jade does. Green IS Jade's colour, itis even in her name (jade being a green type of stone).

To give any ninja girl except Jade a green outfit would be stupid. Li Mei is not a ninja girl, so she can wear any colour and it's not copying someone else, just as Sonya can wear green without copying. Like I said before, Tanya in green would be as dumb as Scorpion in blue.

It would be great if all the MKBabes were in it, but I doubt we'll be seeing Sonya, Sheeve, Khameleon, Frost or Nitara in Deception. Kitana will be there but as a hidden character. I also hope to see Sareena (not included in the above list BTW lol).

I think the woman in green is definitely either Jade or a new character. I dont think its Tanya. For one, every charcter seen in Puzzle mode has their primary outfit, and although we've seen Tanya in puzzle, we dont know much about her look, but we know she is yellow primarily, and the colour of green shown in the new images is too far from yellow. I think tanya's alternate will be orange or red.
Another reaosn I think it is Jade is because the girl in green has a very dark skin tone, and Im still unsure whether Tanya is black, if she I think she has a lighter skin tone than Jade if she is. I also think Tanya would have shorter hair than Jade.

Correction, you HOPE Kitana will be there but as a hidden character. How are you so sure she is in the game? I'm not saying she isn't but your not convincing me. =P

Ok then, I HOPE Kitana will be there, and I think she will. Jade/Sindel/Tanya/Mileena/Liu Kang and Noob saibot are all involved in her story. (Noob because he killed her ally Goro which saddened her so she'll want to avenge t with the Shokans)
But hey this aint a Kitana thread. So lets move back to Jade/Tanya. Lol.

It doesn't make much sense to give a primarily green outfit to another character if there is already an existing (and extremely popular) character named Jade who has always worn green. But then, the game is still in development, and the developers could probably make any outfit any colour without much effort. They could have done this just to fire up threads like this one. Maybe it's Jade, maybe it's Tanya (hope not...but if it is, I hope they don't use that horrible yellow outfit anymore). Or maybe it's Kitana. Personally, though, I think it's probably Tanya, even though I'd like to think otherwise. She's the only one who has (supposedly) been confirmed as playable.

Speaking of which, does anyone know where that is stated?

Yeah! you're right Tanya had really long hair if I remember and bangs. I think it is Jade, who knows Jade and Tanya could have a feud to rival the Kitana-Mileena feud.

Tanya was never confirmed. She was featured in a questionaable Puzzle video along with Quan Chi and Kitana in their Deadly Alliance costumes. Tnaya was probally an early test model or an idea they were kicking around. I imagine she was scrapped really early on. If we take this video as confirmation then Kitana and Quan Chi are also confirmed. Not to mention there is no room on the puzzle fighter select screen (as it stands now) for Tanya. Finally I don;t see any reason for her to be in the game when there is Li Mei, Jade(most likely), Mileena and Sindel, all Edenians.
