Jade's weapon change my lead to controversy? (not the kind you thinking of)

let me first say that i am not a racist, i am just pointing out something i think will get complaints about when MK:D hits seleves.
if jade is indeed black person, changeing her weapon to a spear is not the best choice of weapons.
if you don't know what i mean i am taking about the racist term used to depict Black people "spear chucker". so i don't like that they gave her a spear cause i don't want MK:D being called a racist game
your thoughts on this topic?(which i will ethier get flammed for or closed)

no way man, only zulu come to mind when u combine black with spears, but i think it's cool. i always wanted soul calibur to put in a zulu(which would fit perfectly), but they never did it, that's racist coz they don't have one black character in soul calibur. i think it's just a coeincidinc that she has a spear. we don't see jax runnin around with bling bling and machine gun and sayin stuff like that's what i'm talkin about... HOLY SHIT! no just kidding. but mk dosn't have any racist i think

Seriously though, why would people get so worked up over something like this? I've never even heard that term before, and I know alot of biggots. Sheesh, MKD has been recieving alot of racial attention lately.
Just because she throws her staff into someones skull, it becomes a spear/javelin? When did her weapon change?

Jade didnt have a weapon change.
Her Fatality is simply called "Spear Fatality" because she uses her STAFF to SPEAR the opponent in the head.
I swear you people must thrive on panic and lack of common sense or something.

People will get worked up because i remember 2 years ago a thread flaming midway because they gave Cyrax the fighting style Sambo in DA (Sambo is a racial slur)..

Hmm...To be honest with you , I am black and I see NOTHING AT ALL racist about Mortal Kombat. To be frank with you , Mortal Kombat is the most unracist game I have every played. It has everyone from almost every races. And don't get me started on Soul Calibur.

in the new game informer her weapon is now the spear. if you don't believe me go to the web site mksecrets.net, they have photos of it.
i am not work up about i jsut don't MK getting banned cause of a some detail. i know there are a bunch of soccer mom out waiting to shut down MK, they we look at anything to say.
i think this will just be subtle like jax's alt outfit in MK DA
I guess I've been out of the loop then, I thought Sambo was some wrestling move.

I think Raiden's Staff will be renamed, because the two use their staffs differently. Jade uses hers more like bo-twirling, while Raiden goes for a "whacking" style with bludgeoning.

Well Jade isnt black it seems. Based on the IGN bio, she's or asian descent. Also I see no reason why even that would cause a problem. She will always have her staff no matter what. The only reason its says spear is that she spears her opponent with the staff.

Thats her staff. Not a spear but a staff. They even talk about it on IGN. Its her staff. It doesnt even look like a spear. What spear looks like that really?

Judging from the picture it's a spear with a sharp point on each side. Not like it really matters because you can use a spear like a staff...

This idea of the spear/racist against Jade never crossed my mind!. I don't think the MK Team meant to make Jade black in her outfit she has an Asian hair style.. so I don't really know. confused
