I'm glad to see Jax return in MK: Deception although some might have a different opinion. Now I don't like his cyberntic arms, he should have kept his real ones. He's a powerhouse and has more potential than probably half of the entire roster.

Terrible dicision to put Jax back in MKD.

He's been in all MK games since MKII lets have someone new please or someone with more appeal than Jax or even better KILL him off this time round, Although I do suppose you have to have the "Token" Black guy in the game.

Ughh..Jax. How lame. Couldn't they come up with another new character who's black. I know they're just including him to so they can have a black character in the game. I'd rather them bring back Kai or create a new cooler younger looking guy to replace Jax. Ughh.

ok the rumoured reason that sonya, cage, kano and other earthrealm warriors are not in mkd is because hsu hao destroyed the portal and those guys are trapped in earthrealm. i also believe that sources have confirmed jax's ending to be true and hsu hao was killed after the portal was destroyed. that being true, i see that jax must have been on the OUTWORLD side of the portal so from a story point of view that makes it highly plausible for him to be in the game when the other earthrealm warriors are not.

now i like jax, granted his alt was lame and he was pretty much raped of all his good moves in mkda but if boon gives him all his glory back (gotcha, backbreaker and multislam back) he could be very good again. perhaps if his story takes a tangent it will add a new dimension to his character.

hey i hated the fact that nightwolf, li mei and tanya are in the game but as i learned more about them the more i couldnt wait to play as them (well we know nothing of tanya yet but the other two look freakin awesome) so you guys should just chill and give him a chance.

Personally, I could care less if Jax returns. For those who want Kitana back, i doubt she will be playable due to this next sentence***(SPOILER)*** She was captured by the Dragon King.

Jax's Story May Suck, But I Still Love To Fight With Him, If He Gets A Good Story Then He Will Be One Of The Best

At this point Im very disspaointed with the charcter line up.
its looks very weak and the new charcters sadly from the looks of things, do not seem imporessive at this point.
Now Jax is in this game over sonya. Thats just sad.
Boon can do whatever he wants with the charcters but SOnya has to be in this game.
There is so still so much they can do with her.

First off if he is confirmed I wouldn't mind beating all of you jax haters one by one when this game comes out. Second, he has potential and has beaten many big dudes that many have not.

Finally if sonya is confirmed later on I will create a thread similar to this one.

If they put Jax in Deception and still don't put Sonya in I'm going to seriously be pissed off. Sonya has always been the Queen of Mortal Kombat and in MKDA she was my personal favorite. I admit, maybe her story line (basically unchanged since MK1) is a bit on the dull side but what better reason is there to revamp her story and put her in MKD, and now that there is a new Black Dragon member in MK (Kira) there could definetly be some new story possiblities for Sonya.

I totally agree!!! Jax is awesome, but when compared to Sonya he is nothing! Its cool to see how everyone wants sonya back again, not only in this threadm, but on many others.

Sonya has lots of potential, and after proving her inmense power in MKDA, I think she is a must!

He was one of the best characters in MK2 and has never been weak.

Storyline-wise I think Sonya is much more boring, actually. She was one of my favourite characters to play with in DA but I wouldn't like to see her back.

They should at least take away his uzi (too striker-ish) and give back his fireballs/gotcha, he was better off like that. But I say get rid of Jax and add Raiden to the roster instead.

While I've never been a big fan of tiers (a truly skilled player can beat anyone with any player), Jax has certainly always been a powerful character.

And I must admit that his little Uzi attack is a guilty pleasure for me because of the way he says "Awww yeah" as he does it.

If he is back, I'd like to see the return of his gotcha AND his MK2 air grab.

Los of potential. He ocked in MK2, I loved his gotcha, arm wave (instead of just fire balls) and his fatalities...need I saw more! A real display of brutal stength :)

But FUCK! did he suck in mk3...ergh...he looked like a gimp, purple tights and those stupid bloody arm cannon things...where exactly did those missiles come from? And how did they turn into blades? and beter yet...HOW THE HELL DID HE GROW TALLER THAN THE STAY PUFT MARSH MELLOW MAN AND STAND ON HIS OPPENENT!??!!

Sorry bout that, but MK3 sucked aye...too weird. Still like playing it because it's mk though. Just a bit too over-the-top

I would personally like to say that I thought Jax was pretty good, I think that if Jax is in the game then Sonya will be in it too because without Sonya there is no Jax. Sonya brought Jax in. He wasn't the best character, and by far he wasn't the worst. I personally think that Drahmin should go, he is the one with no combos.

I personally never want to see jax again after DA. In mk2 I thought he was a respectable fighter.But in DA they turned him into a joke!!! I mean what the hell is a machine gun doing in this game.....and the alt. costume was disgusting. They dragged the once respectable Jackson Briggs through the mud,for the sake of a few laughs and I for one never what to see him again.

Jax is confirmed? Didn't someone who went to e3 (sorry, forgot it) say he talked with Ed Boon and Boon told him that majority of the MKDA characters will be in MKD, just with no story/endings? And didn't he then say someone on the development team is trying to convince the rest to agree that Jax should be one of those guys? So basically Jax isn't a part of the 6 official MKDA characters (Scropion, Sub Zero, Raiden, Kenshi, Li Mei, and Bo Rai Cho) with stories in the game, at least I don't think so. Then again, I recall Gamespot saying that the team is still deciding on one more character that might be one from MKDA, and of couse there will be secret characters as well, so who knows...

He fuccin succed in MKDA, but cmon, him and Cyrax are the only two people in the game who arnt white/asian/non-human. They need to have one token minority.

And he was a good character when he first came out... its a shame what they have done to him, with DA being borderline rediculous.

There are a whole lot of other characters id rather have killed than Jax.
