I actually like him alot and want him to be back in the next game. Mortal Kombat is based around jean cluade Van damn, who is in essense johnny cage. Period. So if he started mortal kombat, he should appear one more time at least. I would rather see a cool looking shadow kick though. Cooler than the one today.

I dont like jhonny cage bacause i used to like him then he turned into a total idiot. i could get to like him again if he got a completely new story.

Johnny cage is flat out boring IMO. He sucks, and he needs a huge story make-over, his story doesnt have good development. If he continues to be in MK, i sincerely hope they dont keep on putting him in for the sake of fighting to make movies as a hero and such, its stupid IMO.

I hope johnny doesnt appear in MK again, and if he does, i hope he dies soon. He died once, and it was a mistake bringing him back.

If characters like Johnny Cage should be killed and left out BECAUSE of their old repetitive story, then we might as well KILL Scorpion.

Yes, they have exactly the same stupid problem with the story everyone seems to hate.

I think Johnny Cage should rest for this game, BUT he should end when Mk is over. He is simply a must in the game series. A fan fave, a classic. He plays a big role in the game, so, I say don’t kill him, and keep him till the end.

I forgot. Other things that make Cage so special are his special moves and fatalities. He has some of the best in all the games! He simply kicks ass.

i liked cage alot in the first MK and thought he was decent in MK2... but after that he didnt' need to come back to life... IMO he has a stupid storyline... i dont think the realm of mortal kombat needs to be mixed in with someone fighting to make movies.... we dont need a hollywood actor fighting for earth.. its just lame.... i havent liked him in the slightest since mk2 and even then not as good as in mk1.... oh well... there can be no harm in leaving him out and putting someone with a better story in.. but if he does return yet again.. i won't be suprised nor care very much he's apart of mortal kombat like it or not... i'd prefer him to die and stay dead but like i said it's ok if he returns.. i jsut won't like him anymore than i have from umk3 and on....

Johnny Cage has a good set of moves, and he is a character that you can rely on for a win, but the whole movie star thing is lame. So I guess I hate him.

And scorpions story IMO is way better, thirst for vengence is alot better then making movies.

Quan chi killed scorpions family, and the original subzero killed scorpion. Scorpion came back as a spectre, killed the original subzero, and is now after quan chi. Scorpions story could have tons of plots and twists, hes neutral, he can do whatever he wants. When moloch and drahmin was introduced, it became a harder mission for scorpion to track quan chi down. Scorpion constantly had to fight with moloch and drahmin, its one of those games like "you have to get past us first if you want to challenge *insert name here*.

What i mean by scorpion having plots and twists is simple. At one point, he side with kahn, at another, he did with shinnok and quan. I'm sure if the DK or another villian tells scorpion things like "if you do this for me", "if you join sides with me", "if you run this mission for me", then i'll let you have your battle with quan chi. This could easily make scorpion different, and he could have new challenges, etc. Plus, didnt scorpion swore to protect the younger subzero? If he did, then whenever subzero is in danger, scorpion will be around. Scorpions got great potential.

I do agree making more movies has gotten old and lame...but seriously, so has Scorpion, and he needs a serious change just as much as Cage does.

The whole "I want to kill the killer of my family I never get to kill" story is SO boring!!!! AND HE ALWAYS goes back to hell!!!

Actually, Cages Mk4 bio had nothing to do with movies. ALSO, it was hinted by the team Cage never really died, it was just a project of his new movie he never finished "The Death of Johnny Cage"....they never wanted to kill him.

Cage is my favorite MK character. I love his moves and fatalities. He just needs a newer storyline and he will be great.

I just remembered about the whole "Death movie" project thing. Well, i hope cage dies for the first time. If he does, hopefully it will be his first......and his last. IMO cage is boring. Scorpion also needs to change, but with this whole decieving thing going on, i'm curious as to what will happen and effect his story.

Johnny Cage has never impressed me. I never liked or hated him. He's up there with Sonya or Shang Tsung with me. In or not, dead or alive, I couldn't give a rat's ass.

I think the biggest problem with his story is he doesn't do anything. Say what you will about Scorpion, Kitana, Sonya, Rayden, or anyone else's story, at least they're DOING something. What's Johnny Cage been doing? Fighting the bad guys. Why? No reason in paticular, just because.

The one thing that really pisses me off about Cage is he's now the official scape-goat for people who want dead characters back.

I think it's because of the Mortal Kombat movie. He was awesome in that movie. I guess my like for him there transfered over into the games.

But, he's kind of a show-off and a pretty boy for all the girls.

johnny cage was good on mk1 i liked his shadow kick and his outfit made him look like he was from the movie "blood sport" which was good, i dunno whats happend but since then hes been missing something

I've always had a love/hate relationship with Johnny Cage. I always loved using him and thought his moves to be top notch, but I hated his appearance, story, etc..

If he doesn't return in MK:D the only thing on my mind will be... who's gonna get the nunchaku?

I just love him because he was sooo fucking hot in UMK3 and MKT. I loved his hair (redish and short). And the sunglasses-while-wearing-no-shirt was really cool.

Besides that, he does need a better storyline. I don't like playing as him, of course, but I sure as hell like beating him.

As a fighter: His nutcrunch is legendary. And I liked his fighting in MK:DA.

As a character: Bah! He got the worst story line. Even stryker has a better one.

Thats the same way I feel about him.

Johnny is so old school. I give the man some respect. He was on the side of the first mk. His story line is not the greatest, but he has been around from the start. If his story was to get a little work and they would bring back some of his old moves I would play him all the time. I am going to stand out in the crowd and say. I like Johnny Cage.

I like Johnny but it's his crappy hollywood story that I despise. Without it he would be a lot cooler imo.

I like Cage, he's one of the classics. He was very good in MKII (his fatalities, his winning pose, his friendship). I actually think he improved over time. They've made him a lot more annoying, but that's cool, he's supposed to be like that.

There only one thing that hasn't changed over time: his story. I have to agree with everybody on this, his story is getting pretty boring. However if they give his story a nice twist, he might become one of the more-liked fighters again.

So I say: "Come on, bring it!"

Johnny Cage has been one of my favourite characters in the series for since MK1. During the first games, I was one of the only people who ever played him, and kicked a lot of arse in VS matches. Johnny's a top ranking fighter if you know what you're doing with him.

His storyline does need a new direction though. It was cool and different to start with, but he's been doing the "make a movie" thing too long. People here have had great ideas about what to do with Cage, and even having him get revenge for his friend Liu would be something new for him.

Johnny's most likely gonna miss MKD, but I think there'll always be room for him in the series. He stands out from the others, and there's still a lotta love from his fans. Hopefully a one game break will mean they have time to rework his plot, and make him really interesting.
