No, The Hookswords are Kabal. They're basically 75% of Kabal's character.

Midways seems to be making some very good choices on classic characters to return. Hopefully Kabal weilds his hookswords differently then Mavado. His strikes in MK3 were alot more about speed and comboing then Mavado's stance.

Kabal should be wielding a replacement set of hooksword with a slightly different appearence since Mavado made off with the orginals.

well since Mavado has the first hookswords than he could make cooler looking ones or he could use a weapon like the hookswords but not hookswords.
