It was believed that there was conflict between Mavado and Kabal. They argued and fought over assasinating Kano. Mavado belived he had killed Kabal but Kabal faked his death, Mavado has swiped him of his hookswords and ventured off to eliminate Kano.
Unknown to Kabal was the deadly alliance and what was more blind to him was that Kano also had an allegiance with them.
He knew that both Mavado and Kano would have to be killed, and finally Kabal could collapse the Black Dragon once and for all, it would only be a matter of time before Mavado got to Kano first.

MKDA ENDING

Mavado had beaten Kabal, Kano's strewn corpse lay there lifeless, the Deadly Alliance overthrown. Kabal and Mavado overtook an explosive showdown and Kabal emerged victorious, or so he thought.Kabal was glad that Kano had been defeated but his anger spawned for Mavado as it was Kabals destiny to eliminate Kano.
In the shadows a figure appeared, it was Mavado, limping towards Kabal unsheathing Kabals hookswords, Kabal fled knowing that if he were to Kill Mavado the red dragon would assasinate him, and it would just be a reoccurence of what had happened with the Black Dragon and Kano

It had been several years since Kabal had last seen and sign of Mavado or the black Dragon, Kabal could finally rest as his ever-growing mission had been successful but it was also a complete failure. Shang Tsung and Quan Chi were still active but only in the netherrealm.
Kabal had a new threat to him - the Shokans, accused of murdering Goro, Sheeva and her clad of Shokans were patrolling the area for him.
Sheeva deivised a plan to make Kabal clamer out of his hiding place, that was to align forces with Mavado and the Red Dragon to lure him so both of them could eliminate him.
But was Kabal wrongly accussed or was he an anonymous warrior in the bloodbath plains in the fight?
Kabal couldn't remember, but things which came into contrast revealed at the truth.

MK: Deception ENDING

The plan had worked, Kabal emerged from his hiding place, the Shokans and the Red Dragon stood their waiting, then the alarm arose for them to attack.
Kabal was attacked, Only Mavado and Sheeva brutalized him, and finally Kabal flashbacked and unveiled the truth.
He was on the plains in the fight but so was Mavado, Mavado killed Goro to conjoin with the Shokans to Blame Kabal for goros death, Kabal proved it and Mavado killed him. Then the Plan backfired and the whole army of Shokans, ripped and torn at Mavado.
Kabal had finally won and then went off to the afterlife.
As for Mavado, The Shokans ressurected him to use as their slave and to torture him for all eternity, The Red Dragon waas now a distant memory...........
