now back to shao kahn, i got a feeling he might win back the throne or the dragon king might take over him and make him the sub-boss in mk7 or something. they did say that all the characters will be in konquest, so who knows, we might come across kahn and have a little talk to him. hopefully it'll be valuable info.

It's pretty hard for Kahn to be involved in Deception considering he's been dead since the beginning of Deadly Alliance.

Sure, Raiden did bring Johnny Cage back, But he's the only one. However, Outworld does have someone bringing people back now... Onaga. He has brought back Liu Kang and Kitana, "Possibly" Raiden. And i'd bet my money on Shang Tsung, Quan Chi and Shao Kahn aswell (though i think he is still alive).

Thinking about it clear from MK1 to MK3 Shao Kahn was the true enemy. They get rid of him for MK4 and kill him in Deadly Alliance, so why would they bring him back again? They've finally gotten rid of him and it doesn't make much sense to me for them to bring him back again. Keeping the same heros and a few characters makes sense, but keeping Kahn around just for shits and giggles doesn't make any sense at all.

It seems to me that when it someone evil (or someone with anything wrong with their soul, for that matter) dies, they go to the Netherrealm..
If anything has been proven so far, it's that it is easy enough to escape this prison. Scorpion did it. Quan Chi did it.. Some other characters are bound to do it..

i thought that somebody from the mk team has confirmed that kahn is severly weakened but not dead....i'm sure sombody can back me up...but anyway....i'm hoping kahn has a big part in this...if not this one...hopefully in mk 7...like i've said i million times...how cool would it be....Shao Kahn Vs. Yeah a while ago that was mentioned. Shao Kahn is probably in a cave right now bruised up and pissed as hell. It's funny how you could have everything and then loose it all. Shao Kahn is the underground ruler. He will rise again as soon as he's ready to fight.

They haven't really mentioned Kahn in any of the bios that I've read either, but I got a feeling they might bring him back in MK7 as part of someone's story. IMO, MK7 is probably going to be a power struggle between Kahn(now good) and Onaga. Someone (I think it was KenshiMaster) said that MKD left it open for a huge war, so I'm thinking Kahn and the forces of Earthrealm,Outworld, and Chaosrealm versus Onaga and the forces of Edenia, Netherrealm, and Orderrealm. That would be badass.

If that were true it could lead to one hell of a cast of characters for MK7.

I don't think Kahn will have any part in the main story. He probably just sends you on some small quest in konquest mode, prior to the events of Deception, and that's probably it.

I think that there are some definite factions on this board. There are those people that are dying to have Sonya and/or Kitana in the game. Then there are the people that dig for the slightest reference to Rain being in the game. Then there are the people that really want Shao Khan to be in this game. Honestly, you really don't see that kind of loyalty with many of the other characters. Is it because these guys aren't in the game (as far as we know)? Not sure, but I definitely fall into the last camp of people.
My ideal would be to see Khan return, (I really liked that phrase "underground ruler") though more in the shadows, watching what's unfolding, building up his forces in secret, waiting to strike and get back what was taken from him.
I'd also like to see the Deadly Alliance return and, I know everyone will hate this, Shinnok as well. Hear me out. You take away the evil bell hop uniform, and fit him with something that's more like the shadowpriest look he had in the 2nd movie, and give him, I dunno, some real moves, and I think he's a solid villain. He's got the story, and a cool name, why not bring the former leader of the Netherealm back for this clash of powerful badasses? Think about it. Rayden and Fujin vs Shinnok vs Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, vs Shao Khan vs the DK. The rest of the cast is either on someones side or going it alone. I think that would be awesome!
As for what I think his involvement will be in this game, I bet that we get a small flash of him in someone's ending. A small omen of things to come at the VERY most. I would love it if he were a hidden character, but I doubt it'll happen. I think they'd do more to set up his return.

You know, that DOES sound badass. I would love for a huge war to happen right after this game, but Shao Kahn turning good, I DOUBT that'll last once he has his throne back, that is, if they win the battle.

Pretty smart post there. I agree with you on Shinnok's look. I saw pix of his look in MK4 (never played it though) and he looked like some retard like that. That look in the second MK movie, though it sucks horribly, was much much better. He looked a lot more "Netherrealm"ish than the MK4 look. It's like with Noob Saibot. He's wearing all black, and he's from the Netherrealm, so why not make the Neatherrealm seem more like this dark and forsaken place (a little worse than Outworld cuz some people from there look much cooler and, brighter in a sense) by giving him an awesome costume?
That DA return, eh, I dunno about that one though. It'd be like all the sh*t that happened in MK:DA never really happened, other than Shang Tsung and Quan Chi making a little alliance. It would be cool to have Shang Tsung back, but Quan Chi wasn't really that great of a character anyway, so maybe Tsung could just side with the Dragon King, the way he was a sorcerer on the side of Shao Kahn.

yes, for those of you saying kahn died in MKDA, they did confirm he wasnt dead. just weakened. so, i do belive something big will happen with him if not directly in MKD he will at least show up in some of the endings and then probably for sure in MK7.
the dragon king seems pretty hardcore though i wonder how he lost his original position of the throan to begin with? maybe shao kahn originally killed him and took over outworld, so naturally kahn could come back and take over again. who knows. maybe im just stupid.
