i dislike both. would prefer if neither returned.
its pretty one sided, the pretty girl will always win as usual. that said i'm voting for kobra. he's not that great or original, but he's a hell of a lot more originial that kira is, and thats what counts for me. he's less of a clone of past characters, regardless of storyline.
i wish they'd just let the black dragon die already. there may be new faces on it, but it's still a stale idea. not to mention the rip off red dragon was old and stale in its very first game, mkda. and of course we're gonna have the stale old special forces after it again too.

I seriously think that kano is gone for good this time. The character is getting tired and stale. Someone better has taken his place, so while nostalgia always sides with him, rationale does not.

I could care less about Kira or Kobra. The only Black Dragon members that I like are Kano and Kabal.

Remember, nothing endures forever, and since Kano is a kickass character (or was a kickass character) he's departure from the series
could be one of the most dramatic ones. I kindda liked the Mavado vs. Kano match, and that Mavado was superior to Kano in age.
Wait untill Kira becomes Kano's long lost child. (figures, Kano had a good time in Afghanistan as a weapon dealer) > D. Hail Black Dragon.
P.S: Kobra rocked with the sociopathic killer storyline, but alas, he's looks and moves weren't so original (but better than Kira's)

Hey so what if kobra's moves are more original?? Kira plays better in mkd and is superior in jus bout every other aspect of it all... so kira is my pick..
Interestin thing bout kira and kano though. I dertect some deception from her. Could be that she is kano's child, as u said, and exacts revenge on mavado and then kills kabal for the heck of it, takin over black dragon, or that she is really from the red dragon, and stabs kabal in the back. Either way, kabal is iced.

Neither I hate both of them! If I had to chose I would chose Jarrek or Kano, probely Kano. The reason i wouldn't chose Kira or Kobra is because both of them just plain suck! Their weapons suck, their special moves and regular moves suck! If I was a creator for Midway I would be=ring back the old Black Dragon and kill Kira Kobra and Kabal!

Most of you all are crazy. KOBRA is by far the better character.
Some of you are too wrapped up in the story of MK. Me, I'm wrapped up in kicking ass. Kobra kicks ass. We all know that a decent Kobra player beats a decent Kira player hands down. Kobra's Shorin Ryu is da shit and his Kali Sticks are servicable as well. Kira has...Kenpo?? That's it, just Kenpo. Plus all her best combo's in Kenpo start with U+1 and that is a very difficult hit to land vs. anybody decent.. Despite her awesome looks, Kira just sucks and my vote is for Kobra.
