In my opinion after watching the vids. I thought Ashrah was going to be cool very early. Ashrah looks badass in her looks, story and voodoo fatality. Kira sucks she is a clone/filler. She is basically Sonya and Kano put together. That sucks.

i dont think Kira is that bad despite the kano/sonya thing. thats like saying Ermac is a clone of kenshi with afew extra moves. there all good so far. but i gotta say Ashrah is looking more appealing now. She just needs a better outfit, i dont really like her original one. the second one is good but i hoping the 3rd will be kick ass.

I like both so far, but for Ashrah's voodoo Fatality, would anyone like to see her throw up the doll in the end, then she fires an energy blast up after it, and when it hits, the doll explodes, as does the opponent (in blood and gore)?

If I have to choose from Kira & Ashrah, I choose Ashrah just because I like her fatalities. I like Kira's fatality too but I think Ashrah's are better!
Kira a combination of Kano & Sonya.
it sounds interesting, because they say that Kira was very fast! so that means she could be the fast version of Kano & Sonya.

was it just me or did ashrah have a cannonball thingy like Kano/jarek/and now kira?

Ashrah is without a doubt the best of the 2. Very original.
Kira.....I loved her so much before....but they made her a Jarek/Kano character (New character with Kanos moves) mixed with Sonya (HOW the HELL can she have the kiss?????).....she is no longer one of my faves.

Kira: I like her style and appearance.Good fatalities too but nothing special.Kano and Sonya were my favorite kharacters in the MK serie so,Kira will have my 2 favorite kharacter style...for me it's awesome!!!
Ashrah: I like her story,her appearance,her fatalities,her special moves...Ashrah is probably going to be my next favorite female fighter.She's so...my god...SPECIAL!! I can't wait to play with this kharacter!!

Ashrah is way better than Kira. I even dare to say that she's the best female MK fighter ever. And yes, she's very original.

A lot of people are compaining about Ashrah's voodoo doll fatality.A voodoo doll works sort of like acupuncture meridians.There are certain lines that connect to body parts.It looks like she is stabbing near the heart which deals with criculation,so basically the blood from the person's arms are drainingout of them so the arm dies and falls off.
As for Kira,I hate her.She's too stereotypical.

Kira and Ashrah are both awesome, but I like Ashrah much better in her alt. And since my fav girl Jade will be locked from the start, it looks like Ill be using Ashrah until I unlock her.

Lemme break this down:
Looks: Kira all the way. Ashrah's alt is good, though. Kinda looks like Princess Leia...
Fighting Styles: Again, Kira. Xing Yi and Dragon Teeth (which I'm anticipating will have the same moves as Kano's Butterfly Swords) are IMO top-notch styles. Can't say much for Ashrah - don't know much about Choujiao (sp?) or Kriss, and Ba Gua sucks.
Special Moves: Definitely Ashrah. She just has so many weapons at her disposal. Although Kira's kiss could lead to some serious combo potential - which I will now discuss...
Combo Potential: Hmmm...hard to tell since we don't know Choujiao very well. If Ashrah has a Choujiao -> Ba Gua string, I can see it leading to her 1,3,f+3 (is that right?), f+3 followed by a standing spin and then perhaps a flying spin. On the other hand, Kira might have the ability to do a 1,1,u+4,u+4 then kiss - rinse and repeat. Don't know if that or 1,1,4,4,kiss in Kenpo lead to infinites (never tried). I'm guessing that Ashrah will have a Choujiao -> Ba Gua string so I'll give the combo award to her.
Fatalities: I'm not too keen on the fatalities from either of them. Kira's torso rip is good; her throat slash and kick couldn't suck enough, though. While I like Ashrah's voodoo doll concept, I feel it could've been executed better, pardon the pun. Her magical dismemberment is just blah. I guess I'll pick Kira because she does her fatalities with more style. I love how she struts forward to rip off her opponent's torso.

EDIT: I have to give VainQueur (sp?) credit for the Xing Yi 1,1,u+4,u+4,kiss theory. I saw him post it on the MKD Tier List Predictions thread.

What the hell? DO you mean Kenshi is a clone of Ermac? .. Ermac was around before Kenshi, Kenshi learned how to use telekenesis because of Ermac. Kenshi would be the clone..

I like them both... but definetley Kira better. She has that hardcore look and her fatalities are awesome. As far as her being stereotypical.. even if she is. Who cares, the idea is to have characters that will appeal to everyone and some people like the stereotypes.

I actually like both of these characters very much.
Ashra- looks amazing. She looks cool (especially in her alternate outfit) she kicks ass and she has very original moves fatalities and appearance. I honestly can't find anything weong with her other then her first costume isn't one of my faves but it's not bad either.
Kira- Well I think Kira looks awesome. She also has a very original LOOK to her. I think she looks awesome and so does her costume. She however has one big flaw. This flaw is that her fighting style is like Kano Sonya and Jarek. I am very dissapointed. I won't whine though because if Sonyas not in then at least Kira will have a similar feel and that will be cool. As lond as she isnt to similar to Sonya. I hate that Jira has the kiss thing.

I meant that Kira is too stereotypical of the "tough girl" type.Don't get me wrong,Kira has great potential and a good look but she's just too much of a clone of Kano/Sonya.
