it doesnt really matter if they are in the minigame (i dont think) because if u look at the human smoke it doesnt look anygood and the chess things doesnt really mean they are confirmed they could take them out but i think at least Quan Chi will be in it

Quan Chi has been in 3 games. His storyline has been diverse in each one. Kitana? Same old same old shit. Her MKDA storyline was ARGUABLY the weakest in the game. Her MKG storyline was add on. MK2 and UMK3 were the only games where her story was OK.

I think all the character models from MK:DA are in this game.

blue_hell, it's true that they could be in the game. That image of the board game could just be a test picture using old MKDA programming/models to test the game out. Why would they use Scorpion and Sub-Zero's MKDA models when they obviously have MKD's Scorp/Sub models finished?

Nothing is what it seems...especially when the game is still 6 months from being completed.

What you say is true, but I've grown attached to the Kitana. I didn't really like Quan Chi much since day 1(although he was a lot better in MK:DA).

Man, I sure hope so. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's fond of Kitana. She rocked in Deadly Alliance - I think if they're sticking to the '3-style' mold, her Eagle Claw & Ba Gua were both elegant and graceful - perfect for Kitana, and a good addition to the new game, too.

If we get Mileena, Sindel, AND Kitana all in one game... man, that's the best roster since... well, since they were all in a game together ;)

But I do concur, in that they probably wouldn't be on the board if they weren't in the game. The models used may be from DA, but they probably wouldn't be using characters to test the new minigame who weren't actually going to be in the game. Plus, using characters & styles from MK:DA undoubtedly reduces development costs, since they're already "fleshed out" to an extent, so that's another reason.

All in all, Kitana is my favorite MK character... so I want her more than anybody else :)

You know what i think about this is that Quan Chi and Kitana r in it but in the chess thing they r just using the Mk:da renders for now because the ones arent made yet. Because really think about it there is still about 5 months left till it comes out so not everything is complete. Also if they r on the board it they hit each other they will have to fight, so what will happen with that? So i think they r both in the game even though im kinda sick of Quan Chi and Kitana is kinda ruined now since Mk:da. She used to be cool

I think the two characters are going to be in this game. Kitana is the princess of Edenia and I bet that since Sindel is back, her daugter is there to give her support.

Quan Chi on the other hand, I think he has to come back. For one I think Quan Chi is a minion for the Dragon King. And if you recognize the title "Deception" that word fits Quan Chi perfectly.

MK and Storyline....do not go well together.So even if Quan Chi isn't in it Scorpion will be there, but he'll be in there anyways. All MK characters are cool in my book man, they're Mortal Kombatants!!! Oh yeah

if the chess game only features whats in this game, then Sub Zero has 3 outfits.

It is my understanding that every Mortal Kombat character will make an appearance in the game, but that does not make them playable characters.

Quan Chi is the coolest character in the MK serie by far IMO, he have very cool moves(in MKM and MK4), he is really interesting storyline wise and have a cool look.

I hope that Quan Chi will be in the game really badly he is the best villain character in the serie! They need a main playable bad guy in MKD and I hope he will be one of them.

If you look on the board, ALL characters has an outfit from MKDA, not MKD. So I doesn't count this as confirming those two characters...

Yeah, those characters wont even be playable if they have there old costumes. They probably wont be playable period. I want NEW costumes if there going to be playable.

I think Kitana's character is pretty boring these days. In my opinion she didn't really bring a whole lot to the table in the past few games (DA, MK Gold, and UMK3). I wouldn't classify her as a classic MK character either. I mean she's really only been in two MK games, not counting the upgrades of 3 and 4.

Quan Chi is a different story. He rocked pretty hard in both 4 and DA. Not only that, he went from having the all-time coolest MK Fatality in 4 (the leg beater) to the all-time crappiest MK Fatality in DA (the neck pull), yet even then he was still cool.

I wouldn't be so hasty indeed about confirming characters. However, there are odds Kitana will be in it, since Mileena and Sindel are there. And probably Quan Chi too. As someone pointed out here, Scorpion needs a goal to remain alive.

Another thing that puzzles me here. If every character from the past is to make an appearance in the Konquest mode... what about characters who are in fact dead? Like Shao Kahn, Quan Chi, probably chars like Hsu Hao or Shinnok... Will the Konquest mode be a travel through the character's past?
