I liked the konquest mode from MKDA, I liked being able to learn the combos for all the characters. Will there be a way to do this in MKD? Or will konquest mode simply be developing your character, with an inablitity to learn the moves of other characters?

I think Konquest mode will solely be very RPG-ish with no real training for other Kombat modes. I think that given the huge advances VF4EVO made in the training mode, we'll be seeing something more like that to learn combos and tactics and what have you.
