You know, although the anticipation would kill me, to be honest, I'd perefer it if a halt was called to huge-ass breaking new and new screenshots. I was perfectly happy with what had been given us so far up until this Raiden update. That, I felt, crossed the line separating 'teaser' and 'spoiler'.

Assuming Raiden's primary costume features his hat, there's no way in hell he could be on the select screen, though I realize that is subject to change. I could have done without knowing that until I saw him from the comfort of my own TV. That's the kind of thing you see and people scream about to one another online, in utter amazement. I'm upset that we've been deprived of that. Same goes for Kabal, the "lady in green", and "Mister Transparency" (called as such to avoid debate).

We all know full well that there are more characters, Sektor and Jax apparently being among them, and we know Liu Kang is present. I REALLY don't want to see any of those until I'm playing.

As for the guys we've just been intoduced to, like Darrius and Shujinko, I'd rather not see anything of them save perhaps one or two screenshots. No videos, please.

I hope for god's sake that there are characters we have absolutely no clue about which are present for this go-around. If there are, I hope they're kept that way.

Which is not to say I'd want no further updates at all. Rather, I wouldn't mind seeing a couple more Bios, but just for characters we've known about for awhile, like Noob, Ermac, Nightwolf, Skab, Ben/Kobra and Kenshi.

Some more special move screenshots wouldn't hurt, either. I'm curious to see what Noob will do, this time through.

To summarize: I'd rather be updated than spoiled.

yeah i guess you'll enjoy the game more...but i would be dieing of curiosity just waiting for the game to come out.

I agree.

I actually stated in another thread, that IMO it wouldve been alot better if we didnt know to much on MKD. If the MK team kept these things more silent, then we definately wouldve been more suprised when we unlocked secrets and such. Imagine unlocking characters like Kabal, Ermac, Noob, Smoke, Etc, and NOT knowing that they were going to be in MKD. The majority of us would've been dead happy and shocked. I woulda liked it better if they didnt reveal to much. Enuff can be enuff.

I reckon it would just be awesome to have "Stryker" appear out of left field with absolutley no one knowing he is there until the first person in the world unlocks him.

Like has been said a million times already, with a major overhaul and new and improved S.W.A.T. look.

It's not like MKO or IGN or any other site is actually breaking these stories. It's not like they're uncovering things and finding out stuff on their own. Everything we know we know because Midway wants us to know. Midway specifically wanted us to see Raiden, which means it wasn't really supposed to be all that big of a deal. Lots of secrets have been promised. As long as that ends up being true there shouldn't be a problem.

I want to know as much as possible. I want to know the full story and roster. Hidden stuff is like meaningless. We're going to find it all out within days of the release and then it will be irrelevant .

If you don't want any more updates why don't you just quit reading them?

Actually, there is a perfectly valid explanation for Raiden and the select screen.

The screen we saw at E3 had 24 characters. It was confirmed that there will be 24 default playable characters. Right? Right.

Next factoid. Shujinko was seen clearly on the select screen. Old man w/long hair and all that other good shit. Thing is, it was also confirmed that Shujinko would have to be unlocked through Konquest. He WILL NOT be a default select screen character.

That brings our magic number 24 down to 23. Just enough room for Unca Raiden. Out with Shujinko. In with Raiden. :

Kind of hard to do that when you log on and see the headline "IGN posts 9 new videos, first look at Raiden", and so forth. And I don't particularly feel like separating myself from the online MK community for two months.

If there was a very sexy, and very willing, naked woman before you, and you were single, I think you'd find yourself hard pressed to refuse...

I don't see why they'd have Shujinko's slot in place of Raiden's at E3.

The most simple explination is that Raiden is one of the 3 slots who's identity is unknown and he's just wearing another outfit.

Maybe. But we know that Shujinko is off the list, and somebody has to replace him to complete the default set of 24. Raiden taking the spot makes the most sense to me. If not Raiden, then another.

Besides, it could be a mistake that you have to unlock Shujinko.

Eh, I'm cool with knowing the info. Just makes me want the game more. I just don't want the endings spoiled. The rest doesnt really matter to me.

As a diehard spoiler junkie, I say too much is never enough. I want to know everything. It certainly doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the game. It just makes me all the more excited.

Not convinced? I figured the 24 character roster was a given at this point.

As for Shujinko, I heard that he must be created via konquest before he's playable. I'll have to re-check which interview i heard that in.

DITTO!!! Actually.. on a related topic, I hate when videogame designers take secrets to "their graves". (Final secret in DA???) and then people never find out.
They should just release the info, and then, whoever wants it reads it and whoever wants to figure as much by themselves as they can they just dont read it

All this spoiling is kind of ruining it for me also. I'd much rather be completely surprised than totally aware of everthing. Kind of like when the older MK's came out, I was totally surprised by everything and that make it seem mystical or something.

well...i somewhat agree with you...while i don't argue with at least one or two screen shots here or there of charictors i've yet to see...i'd rather keep fatalities, bio's/stories(yes i'd rather be suprised instead of their stories leaking out)a secret...but oh well...all i can say is...don't like spoilers...i guess you should steer clear or you shall get dissapointed haha

Bottom line this bad boy for me. If you don't want to be spoiled then don't go looking for the info. We are the ones coming here and getting all the news. Nobody makes us come here and read the news. It's like saying I really would like to be kicked in the balls but not too hard. What the. I have friends that no longer come to the sites or read the mags that have anything to do with this game. They won't even let me update them. Yes for them it will be a surprise for us it won't. I don't mean to sound like a dick but come on. 5000 people say give us something 4000 say no don't. How will the MK staff choose? More picks and videos build HYPE, thats what midway needs right now. Lots and lots of hype. Why because half the world is looking forward to games other than MK. All I ever hear is fable....halo2....Yes they are great games but I like fighting, So lets bring on the next round of pics and videos YEEE HAAW.

HAHAHA!!! I agree with you!!! And if u want a mild amount of info, the official site always has less but interesting and powerfull info! (except Resident Evil Apocalypse's page... that one showed every place they go in the movie)

I prefer to be suprised and to not know all the info before the game is released. The only thing I need to know is what the gameplay consists of and nothing more. So Ill just try to avoid the spoilers.

I like knowing which characters are going to be in the game and things like new gameplay upgrades, backgrounds, and modes, but that's about as much as I want to know. I love being surprised (pleasantly, anyway) by games like this one. I actually haven't watched any of the gameplay or fatality videos for that reason. So I can understand what people are saying about not wanting too much information, but I also see the other side of it, too. If there are fans out there who want to know more, the information should be available to them. On an off-topic note: Shadaloo, you and I have the exact same birthday. Which is, incidentally, the supposed release date for Deception in the states.
