Alright. We have talked about the pics and 'new' fighters to death. Hows about we talk about what the 'narrator' is saying.

Sinister = Suggesting or threatening evil

Now, let me say this; the game seems to have a focus on Baraka. Why? We have yet to find out. I say this because the glowing eyes from the trailer are Baraka's (look closer and you can see the teeth). However, I could be wrong.

There are 2 things I got from this. One: All the talk about the Dragon King might end. The game doesn't seem to mention any info related to the Dragon King. The Dragon King DOESN'T hide in the 'shadows' from what we know. One, he is dead (could be brought back to life) and two, even when he was alive he made his presence known, a la the "undefeatable army". So could MK6 take the less obvious route and not continue the story of the Dragon King from MKDA? Time will tell.

Second: “Using the trust and loyalty of an ally”. Deadly Alliance ring a bell anyone? This is perhaps the most obvious of the whole speech. If MK Deception does continue where MKDA left off then we can be sure that the deadly alliance is no more. Shang Tsung or Quan Chi will die because it says, “ to take it all”.

Also I can help but fuel the fire by saying that Shao Kahn could be the one they are talking about. It’s sort-of obvious that Kahn didn’t die in the MKDA intro. So after this brutal attack he suffered from Tsung and Chi, could he have been forced to hide in the shadows. I would think so. This would also explain the return of the yet unconfirmed Ermac, who we all know was created by Kahn to fight for him. Plus his goal has always been to rule all realms, mainly earth realm. And if MK6 will be going back to it’s roots then it’s obvious what I’m going to say next.

I have more theories and analysis but I want to get your input on the whole issue.

I like your Kahn theory. I think they should either use what you just said or use this:

Raiden sees that the only way that the Dragon King can be stopped is by Shao Kahn and he reserects Shao Kahn from the dead. Shao Kahn thanks Raiden and then kills him. Shao Kahn goes and finds Shang Tsung and then kills him too and then he tries to kill the Dragon King to rule all realms....

That's my theory.

I doubt that the Dragon King was just a cunning way of distracting us from the rest of the story! I'm sure he's in there. That voice has not revealed the entire story through that little speech. If it had, we'd know everything for definite!

I agree that the Deadly Alliance will be no more! I'm hoping Shang got the bette rof Quan or maybe they'll actually let Kano reign which I highly doubt!

Kahn is most likely back. To be honest, I'm not bothered if he does come back anymore. If it keeps the story alive and well, then I'm all for it!

That's pretty dumb. Rayden can just ressurect people now? And he just happens to ressurect Kahn because he's ''the only one'' who can defeat the Dragon King? What the hell? And last time I checked, Rayden wasn't a FUCKING MORON. He would never ressurect Kahn, even if he could. And even if he could and even if he did, would he really be so dumb that he would do it in a situation where Kahn could kill him, instead of doing it surrounded by all earth warriors, edenian forces plus the Lin Kuei and the special forces, so Kahn wouldn't stand a chance?
What the hell man?

Man, we all know the story will be kickass though.

I would LOVE to see a finsiher on the MKDA storyline before the game comes out though.

What were you thinking? That is completely silly! Raiden would never ressurect Kahn! He'd rather die than do that! The idea is ridiculous! I can see it now!

Raiden: Earth needs help! I'll juts go and ressurect one of it's greatest known adversaries who also happens to be my arch enemy! He'll surely help Earth and me out!

Now, really, do you see that happening?

I was thinking the same thing when I watched the trailer, that Shao Kahn is making his return. I would definately look forward to that boss fight.

Yeah, I agree that the eyes in the video are Barakas. If you haven't downloaded the video from mkdeception.midway.com yet, then you should go do so. The meat grinder fatality rocks.

As for who the deceiver is, I would love to say Shao Khan, because he could be "hiding in the shadows," but where has Baraka been?

Using the trust and loyalty of an ally: Wasn't Mileena allied with Baraka? Just the fact that they're fighting in the trailer, and both seem to play rather large parts in it, leads me to believe that Baraka (or someone from his race) is the deceiving character. Perhaps he used Mileena for something, but he really has designs to rule everything, I dunno. Shang Tsung and Quan Chi used each other to get what they wanted, so maybe Baraka is using Mileena for something.

Oh, and my theory about red ninja: I think it's Sektor. I know, everyone and their mother says it's Ermac, but he has green on his outfit, like Cyrax had in MK:DA. And if you pause the video RIGHT BEFORE the narrator says "through deception." You'll see a picture of the red ninja and Mileena. I swear it looks like the red ninja is wearing a helmet like Sektor's. Maybe the clearer picture of him could be an alternate human costume? They had one for Cyrax in MK:DA after all.

for number 4 it could possibly be kabal 2. He was supposably killed by movado and he could be the whole hiding in the shadow from the Red Dragon or whutever

well seeing as how IGN mentioned that the scenes were FMV's that would mean that the part with baraka v.s mellina was definetly the beginging movie. they are allies no? baraka lurks in the shadows and im sure he used her to gain power. i just wonder what made him so powerful. what could it possibly be that he has gained. or that he would need Mellina for to execute.

Here is a thought of mine, and of course I could be way off. What if the whole deception is Liu Kang? All of his efforts to "stop" all the evil throughout the tournaments was a smoke screen to for him to take over? Maybe he wasnt killed at the hands of Tsung and Chi, and it was all a cover up to hide the real truth and to give an advantage for the unsuspecting warriors?? What do you guys think? Am I completely nuts?

through deception could mean alot of things for the games storyline for instance the shang could decieve quan chi and hire scorpian to kill him or something like that,

another thing kahn could back, lui kang could also have decieved every1 into thinking he was dead

kabal could also be alive

also there could be something going on with the brothers of the shadow (shinnok back?)

hhmm interesting (by the way i havent seen the trailer im waitin till i get my brand new comp online)

i would love shao kahn to be alive

Liu kang returning would be so damn stupid it hurts my head to think about it. Keep him dead....DEEP in the ground. I was SOOOOOO damn glad wehn his ass was sent packing making way for Kung "kickass" lao. Now you want his ass back in?

Liu Kang was, IMO, one of the worst MK characters in its history! Keeep him gone and dead and make kahn or someone else with some actual character and appeal the man with the master plan.

The Kahn idea is really good. I personally don't like the Liu Kang rising from the dead thing. Wait, I have an idea! What if Shang used Quan Chi to just get to the Dragon King's army. Kahn is really still alive and Shang is getting the army for him because his forces were getting destroyed. Huh? Huh? What do you think?

Here are some of my ideas as to what "Deception" might mean:

1. Dragon King deceiving Reptile. I have a feeling that the Dragon King might tell Reptile that he is powerful enough to resurrect Reptile's clan. Or that he is a surviving member of Reptile's clan. He then leeches off Reptile's body and uses him to control his army once again.

2. Shao Kahn deceiving everybody. I just don't think Kahn is stupid enough to be attacked and killed in his own throne room. I have a feeling Kahn may have planned everything that's happened since MK3.

3. Shang Tsung/Quan Chi deceiving Quan Chi/Shang Tsung. The end of the Deadly Alliance comes as one resurrects Mileena and Baraka and becomes the sole bad guy, with a surprise boss making an appearnce (Kahn, Dragon King, etc.)

4. Mileena deceiving Baraka. I don't think Mileena is stupid enough to be deceived. I can see her controlling Baraka to do her bidding. When Baraka finds out he goes neutral in the good vs. evil war.
