All sounds pretty good to me. They would have to pull it off picture-perfectly though, because some people would have trouble with the idea of Johnny Cage being 'mystic'

i think that story wouldnt necessarily make him mystic, i think it gives him purpose. i came up with a storyline in another thread on this sight borrowing some of queve and grizzles ideas about potential twists in his story. here it is...

Shortly after the Deadly Alliance had been vanquished, Johnny Cage during his preperation to return to earthrelm, is haunted by strange visions. Through these visions he begins to understand that his resurrection, at the hands of Raiden, came at a cost. He was alive again, but not whole, part of his humanity was missing...something he yearned to regain. This was a secret he kept, unknowingly till now, hidden behind his sunglasses...within his eyes. Through his visions he realizes he can regain what he lost only through battle. It is at this time that he decides to accompany his allies into Outworld, all being lured by a new enemy...the Dragon King. Could the Dragon King hold the key to Johnny Cage's fate? He would soon find out.

im not a writer but i think thats somethin that could be done.

I dont think Cage should have a new body or something. I like the idea of adding a twist, but not like that. :-/

But I have seen some cool ideas here. Its clear Cage is a fan fave. I hope we see more of him in future Mks.

As much as I want him too...I dont think he will.

johnny cage owns, anyway, i dont know if this has been mentioned before, but if you look at the games, it sorta says that johnny cage seriously NEVER died ever! seriously, since he was in mk1, he appeared in mk2 meaning he did not die, he appeared in mkt which mk3/umk3/mkt can be practily called the exact same game, he appeared in mk4 meaning he still lived, and finally he's in mk:da, meaning he is still alive, he mostly is a side character, because no one other's endings or story ties in with him, he is sorta like "the orphan of mk" if you can say.

Actually, it was hinted in MK deadly alliace that he never died!

They said he was working on his movie project called: The death of Johnny Cage which he quited.

The team anyway never wanted him dead, but his absence and other characters that missed the mk3 game like scorpion, were because of some legal problems with the guy that played cage in those days.

Cage never died according to the team.

That sounds good an all an he his by far my fav character in the MK game but I will always like the movie bit.Always have always will.It will never get old to me.I think its great always wanting that next big movie.That story could fit into any MK game.Man I love it.Long Live Johnny Cage.

I also like the movie part a bit but enough is enough! Its gotten pretty lame and boring. But I agree with these ideas. He would definitely turn into am interesting character if this ever happened.

so many great ideas in one forum, and none are used for the actual game....

the vision could start right when reptile becomes the dragon king the he goes with kung lao to make some sense of it they discover about the dragon king in outworld so they gather forces like sub kensgi cyrax sektor smoke kabal sonya jax and nightwolf, nightwolf uses his shaman powers to create a portal since raydens death

Those are some cool ideas for Cage. He's a great character and for him to have something extra make him a bit more interesting. I never really wondered about him wearing the glasses all the time, but after reading the ideas, it makes some sense!

This is kind of long, but here it goes:

Johnny Cage, Quit!!!!?????

After realizing that his ego was to high, Johnny Cage decided to quit making movies for a while, he then seeks out Raiden's wisdom, but met up with the legendary Shinnok, It was a long battle, but Shinnok beat Johnny Cage, and left his corps to rot on the ground. Johnny Cage is dead!!!!!!!!

2 months later......

Shinnok has slaved every one, Lui Kang, kung lao, Kabal, striker, every one!!!!!!
But then A misterious white ninja appearred, Shinnok tried to beat him, but was kicked into the swirl of all the slaved souls he captured, as the souls tear him appart, the misterious white ninja pulled off his mask, it was Johnny Cage!!!! Then Johnny Cage looked straight up and said, "Thanks Raiden!!!"
