Well, there are many theories I have heard. My best guess is that either the DK took control of Li Meis body, or the DK soldier with her soul transormed to reflect her original body.

Which is great IMO. I may actually think Li Mei is somewhat cool if she turns out to be evil. It would be bad ass and her story should be totally different.

I agree it would be a great plot twist.

Yeah buddy...i hated her with passion in MKDA she was slut......her look her story was bad but now i hope she is evil but even if she isnt i love the way she looks and that will be the only reason i play as her.

I hated her so much in MKDA, but now shes looking to be really cool. Her outfit is awesome. Im hoping shes going to be evil.

I think we might all agree Li Mei has more potential as a baddy than a good guy. It'd be great for her story and her popularity is she went evil.

I agree, seeing her turn evil, possessed by the Dragon King, etc., would be a neat twist. Personally I don't care for the new costume. Yes, even though her other looks like every other female MK character's, I'd still pick it.
EDIT: I saw some stills posted by Cervantes and now I can't make up my mind. If she is dressed up like that she better be on the side of the Dragon King - otherwise she'd look damn stupid.

I don't think her wearing armor automatically makes her evil or associated with the Dragon King. Hell, some asian styled armor was one of the concepts for one of her costumes in DA in the Krypt.

It would be interesting though if she did turn evil, even though I'd prefer her to stay good.

Yea, I always liked Li Mei. That's not sayin much because I like every character, even the crappy ones. Anyways, can you imagine Li Mei and Mileena on the same side? Think about it.

Li Mei doesn't have to turn evil.Mabye the Dragon King offered to revive all the people in her village if she helped him.The Dragon King would probably give her some armor to help her fight,that would explain her cool new look.Mabye in the end she dieceves the Dragon King and attacks him.That would fit in with the whole deception theme.

BTW,I hope she gets a cool new weapon.

I don't really think she's evil. If she was a member of the DK army, I don't think she would still be in her original body, but resurrected as a Dragon King warrior.

But it's hard to say at this point.

I think she is on the good guys side.I dont see the evil.Maybe a front to fool the DK.Long Live Johnny Cage.
