I can see that happening .. I don't Kitana is dead, maybe kidnapped .. and she took Kitana's weapon because "the had to give the sais back to Mileena" .. all in all, if that's the case .. it's sad, because like I said in a previous post, Boon seems to be running out of ideas for new weapons .. I will be more than happy to send a much of hate mail to Midway if they do this .. hehe

Well Li Mei already have her own unique weapon this time around, which is the Melon.

I seriously would be pissed if she took someone else's weapons again and did not have her own this time around.

Maybe its gonna be like the whole Mavado Kabal thing. Li Mei kicked kitanas ass and took her fan lol

What I want to know is what happened to Li Mei's hat with the string? Damn it, where is it!? I loved that hat!

...I too like the hat but look at the angle her head as at, that's the reason you don't see it.

I think MKD with either have a mode where weapons are customizable, or characters will have more than one weapon. Either way, that character above is Li Mei.

Mileena finally encountered Li Mei and told her "Yo bitch, These sais are mine." After a long fight Mileena got her trademark sais back. Li Mei got pissed because she has no weapon, so she took her anger on Kitana by beating her ass up and stealign her fans.

Holy crap. Dude, I seriously went ape shit. That BETTER be Kitana, Lol. I am seriously gonna cry (not really, but I'll be really distraught) if Li Mei has Kitana's fans. Those damn things are Kitana's trademark. I was seriously looking forward to Li Mei in MK:D but they're seriously screwing her up once again, besides the hot outfit.

P.S. There is 2 fans in the pic. If you look in her left hand, she's holding a fan that isn't open...

i realli hope tat Li Mei doesnt get Kitana's fans....ill be damm pissed..c'mon the fans are kitana's trademark...nobody can steal dat from her. If Li Mei realli get her fans...den im sure alot of ppl will be damm pissed wit it

what if her and mileena teamed up because mileena wanted her sais back, so they li mei told mileena she would help her kill kitana if she could have kitanas fans then mileena could have her sias back. Or better yet mileena could be in alliance with the dragon king and li mei could be under his control and was sent to help mileena. either way it could be seen as a catastophe becuase nobody should have fans except for kitana. give li mei a katana at least those aren't a trademark for a character. I mean who cares about katanas everyone uses those but fans are something more "rare" if thats the right word. I mean the character i made up has 2 wakizashi's. it isnt hard to find new weapons. they just need to be more specific with some of them. I mean calling shang sungs sword a straight sword kinda eliminated many other kinds like long swords and stuff. they need to be more specific like with scorpions henshi-ryu (spelling?). those are just my 1.80007789897 cents

I agree with Temp. In the British Xbox mag they had a small blurb that people will be able to unlock different weapons during Konquest mode. This is the second screen shot that proves this is true. The first is more concrete. If any of you have seen the Xbox mag a few months ago with the MKD preview, we saw Ben/Kobra using a mace in Ermac in the Yin Yang areana. IN the newest screen shot of Ben, we see that he has kali sticks. So it's very possible that the MK fighters will have several unlockable weapons in Deception. Hmm, kind of reminds me of Weapons Master Mode in Soul Calibur II.

It was me that said that it kinda confirms for me that kitana will be in the game now..they just haven’t finished her character model yet .so that means she getting a new look also..

Actually there r 2 ,1 is closed!! The 1 in li mei left hand which is kinda kool, it looks like they r expanding on kitanas weapon set,,making it more real

THat doesn;t look like a folded fan looks like a knife or blad of some sort.

yes but im staring at that folded fan and it doesn't look like one i can't see it at that angle looks like a blade. I got a new Idea maybe those are stage weapons and thats where they beat up KItana so her fans are there also maybe she was there because like when they showed her ending they lowered goro into lava type material idk.

I just think this is an early pic. That clearly is Li mei an she looks the same as in MKDA. I bet they changed that costume to that black one from those other screens. During the production of MKDA they changed characters styles and weapons all the time. I bet they are doing the same here.

EDIT: I don't think that this is her third costume either, because if they decided to keep one of the MKDA costumes as a third costume then I think her default MKDA costume would be a better choice. This one just looks too much like that black one.

I dont think the above pcture is Kitana, I'm pretty sure its Li Mei, and its either an early tester for her character or a later tester for Ben/Kobra. I reckon the jsut use whichever characters when they try something new. Like we saw Mileena using Li Mei's gifhting styles for ages, then saw Li Mei using them. In the end Mileena was given her own styles. Thats what theyre doing here. HTeyre puttin Kitana in the game, and wanted to test the steel fans style, and Li Mei happened to finished. Kitana will be there, but thats not her.

c the bottom arrow is pointing to 2 darker ends and a middle of "metal"..look at the picture it show multiple metal middle pices in between 2 ends..

c the top arrows they r pointing to the "axe " "knife" part u were talking about. they r the same shape and look...

You're not alone man. I can clearly see it's a fan folded.

I alread saw the piture but its either a axe or a fan why would one fane be closed and the other open. Doesn't make sense idk don;t care probably a stage weapon.
