Seems like scorpion's story just keeps getting rehashed with almost evry character

Don't put down percentages for characters returning if they are just who you like and dislike.

Kenshi - Pretty high percentage. 75-95 percent.

Bo Rai' Cho - If Kung Lao is in it, maybe Bo' Rai
Cho can be in it. 50-75 percent.

Baraka - As much as I want to see him. I give him less than 10 percent chance to be in it.

Kabal - As much as you guys want to see him less than 15 percent chance.

Scorpion - Depends. I'm pretty sure he'll be in it though. Been there since the first. 75-95 percent.

Sub-Zero - Pretty good chance. Pretty darned sure he'll be there. 75-95 percent.

Reptile - If he has any link with the Dragoin Kind and if they're gonna continue a story with the Dragon King. 70-90 percent.

Noob Saibot - Less than 15 percent chance I believe. Maybe if they call him just Noob or something.

Mokap - Less than 15 percent. Would they really bring him back?

Blaze - Again, if they continue with the Dragon King they might just be able to fit him in there. 30-50 percent.

Kung Lao - 80 percent chance. Kung Lao is the new Liu Kang I believe.

Jax - As much as I like him, they should retire him.

Johnny Cage - They should only bring him back if he's got his Ball Breaker move or whatever it was called.

Raiden - I'd say a pretty darned good chance he'll be in it. 80 percent.

Fujin - He was supposed to protect the earth kombatants in the next tournament. If they decide to make MK VI a tournament then it could happen... Maybe. 10 percent.

Sonya Blade - She needs to head into retirement too.

Kano - AKA Liu Kang if he won, but I doubt they'll chose that ending or maybe he get's Liu's soul in him anyway. Any case it'd be interesting to see how that'd play out. 65-80 percent.

Kitana - I don't want her anymore. I thought she sucked in MK: DA maybe if they make her a bit better in the next one. 70 percent chance.

Liu Kang - Died before the title screen came up in MK: DA. 0 percent chance.

Shang Tsung - Tsung was bad ass in DA they need him. 60 percent.

Quan Chi - I'm still not a fan of Chi, but he is an integral part of the storyline. (Or was.) 60 percent.

Drahmin - I hated him. How could they create him? Maybe if they bring him back he'll be better. I have to admit that I am intrigued by his ending, want to know what that's about. 35 percent.

Moloch - Make him die. 35 percent.

Just some random characters I thought that I'd throw in. I really want Baraka. Why put in his ending as an extra ("Baraka's Demise") if he wasn't gonna be somewhere in the next game? Or maybe it's Shinnok.

Here's my two dollar's worth:

Sareena - a moderate chance, looking at her ending for MKTE.

Sektor: highly probable he'll be back, seeing as he's running a clan that's virtually taken over Japan in MKTE, and he'll probably want Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei out of the way.

Sub-Zero - may be as a part of the plot involving Sektor or Sareena.

Reptile: he's the Dragon King now and is almost certain to pop up in MK6.

Scorpion: I don't think we've seen the last of him, as with many other MK games.

Dragon King: see Reptile above ... but also his army is up and running too, thanks to Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. Will Li Mei be a part of this plot if that's the case?


Moloch - a moderate to high chance that Moloch and the Oni may make a return in MK6.

Drahmin - may be linked to the Oni, but there's a good chance that, if he is back, he won't be anything like he was in MKDA.

Nitara - I think Raiden is just getting a bit paranoid about the Vampires attacking Earth Realm ... Nitara has her own realm to sort out first.

Dairou - he was meant to be Shang Tsung's hired guard in MKDA, but they didn't get around to putting him in. His Krypt entry says "maybe next time."

- Scorpion, 99% chance, I doubt there will ever be a future MK game created by boon without scorpion, it's his favorite character.

- Lui Kang, 5% chance, Although myself and many others don't want him to return as his current self, Reincarnation is nothing knew to Hindu's Buddist, and Mortal Kombat, so you can NEVER rule that posibility out.

- Raiden, 80% chance, his role was pretty significant in MKDA reguarding the whole elder god issue as still claiming hiself protector of earth so im pretty sure he will be back around.

- Sub-Zero, 80%, There is still many unanswered questions about the new Lin Kuei and their knew enemies, so I think from a story standpoint Sub-Zero will again be in the mix, plus he is a very popular character.

- Kung Lao, 90%, Enless Kung Lao actually lost in MKDA he will have to be around in the next MK, seeing as he's the best candidate to fullfill the disfunctional hero of the series.

- Reptile, 95% chance, The pure amount of effort put into the mystery of the Dragon King in MKDA probbly means he will make a very significant impact on the next installment, and since reptile is the new embodiment of the DK, he's sure to return.

- Shang tsung, 40% chance, Alot depends on shang's return, it's more or less just a guess, but I think he may return in a diminished capacity.

- Quan Chi, 30% chance, I think Quan might have met his doom in MKDA, of course you could just as easliy go that way with shang, but I dunno he has alot of enemies.

I like Bo' Rai Cho. As do many other people.
And actually, Rain sucks. He was nothing but a clone in all the games he's been in. He didn't even get mentioned in MKDA (I dont think he was, anyway. And if he was, I really dont care.), and that's saying alot, because even Jarek and Khameleon got mentioned. The only person who is 100% to return is Reptile.The next game is based on his race, although I don't know if he'll become the King.

Kung Lao is to be one of the new heros, hence Lui Kang being killed and resurrected on the evil side.

To clear some things up, Sektor is not a traitor to Cyrax and vice versa. If you recall, SubZero, Smoke, Sektor,and Cyrax were all friends as a part of the Lin Kuei. They started basically making them into machines and removing their souls. Sektor and Cyrax were transformed and when SubZero and smoke learned of this, they fled.Although smoke was captured and also turned to a machine, but their still might be a soul in there ( this is not opinion,this is fact based on the story. ) SubZero was the only one to escape successfully, as Smoke, Sektor, and Cyrax were programmed to hunt down SubZero.

Sheeva Returning? Doubt it, slim chance. Probably the same odds as if Motoro to return or even Goro.

Kenshi will more than likely return, as possible Reiko.

I would DEFINENTLY Expect Johnny Cage as well to return, hence he was ressurected as part of the story line in MK:DA.

Thinking back on things, Kano and Jarek probably won't return. They were both killed, Jarek was killed by Sonya Blade as endings in Mk4 ( look at Sonyas and Jax's ending. )

Whoever the Dragon King will be, I can honestly say That he is pretty much confirmed.

As far as Rain Goes, I'm not sure. I'd be surprised to return since he was in Shao Kahns army..If he returns, more than likely so will Reiko.

-First off I highly doubt the game will bassed on his race, for one considering he's the only one left besides Khameleon, there's not a whole lot of race to be based on. Second the only real reason people believe reptile will return is the fact that it appears he becomes the embodyment of the dragon king. And lastly It's mortal kombat, it will always be about saving earth from a badass.

Before he was on shao Kahns army, he was born a warrior for Edenia, however facing death, he deided to betray his realm and join Shao Kahn. He could just as easliy come back as an Allie to Kintana in her struggle to protect Edenia. Also how does Reiko tie in with rain? Just because he was in Shao Kahns army? He was also in Shinnoks, and is suspoes to be dead and risen again. I think if Reiko was to return it woudl be out of the shear mystery of his story in MK4, not his alliance to Shao Kahn.

Something I've heard many times and read a few times now was that Lui Kang was going to be evil.He is ressurected, I'm guessing by Shang Tsung.. and if Shang Tsung uses his soul, there is no good intent...

I went to that page and the only thing I can really see is that it says the game will be bassed around the Dragon King, I don't disagree with that at all, but I don't think they are gonna get too in depth on the reptiles race.

In your defenese it would appear that Shao Kahn was killed, however to me it seems doubtful the two of them could actually Kill shao kahn for 1, and for two that he would be unprotected like that, and 3 because someone asked the devlopers the whereabouts of Shao Kahn, and the anaswer was most likley weakend but alive. To be honest the fate of Shao Kahn and that answer they gave, pretty much is just to allow the story expansion, if they want him back, great, if not well he did die.

And in the end it's just a video game anyway, the story can and never will be perfect.

just to clerify some people say for 100% that Reptile, Scorpion, Sub-Zero will be in the next MK, but correction NO ONE is 100% certain. I doubt if Ed Boon is even 100% certain seeing how early in production the game is in. Some people will argue that the development team says it'll be about Reptile, well things can change, maybe they will decide that MK6 needs to be a game about another event that will tie into the dragon king story and use that story for MK7. My point is you never know.

Well, Im not a fan of Scorpion and I wouldn’t really care if he dosent come back, since his story with Quan Chi and his family thing is so BORING now, is always the same. But he is Scorpion, so yeah, he will be back.

Sonya: 99%

She is the original chick of Mk, just like Liu Kang, she has been around since the first game. Her story DOES need to EVOLVE, and Im sure they will add her something new, but she is a very important classic, Im sure we will see this chick back in action.

Rayden: 99%

I think his ending was very clear. Besides being an important classic, his story has lots of potential.

Sub-Zero: 99%

Im sure he will be back. Same thing as Scorpion.

Kung Lao: 98%

Most likely.

Johnny Cage: 98%

Just like Sonya, he is an important classic. BUT HIS STORY DOES need to change!!!! I mean, his ending was cool in MKDA, but I think they should show us more then just say “Is rumored that the movie tells the true events that happened in outworld and how Cage defeted the Deadly alliance”. We need to see him more into the tournament then into his movies. But again, he is a very possible come back, and an important one I must add.

VERY original and made an excellent appearance in MkDA. Im sure he will come back.

This character has defiantly LOTS of potential. Her story is well done and she is the best new character any Mk game has ever had! Im sure Nitara will be back with an army of vampires ready to attack earth.
