there is a slight chance it could be fujin (probably not from the colors) but i just thought i would throw that idea out there...i agree with most of you though sayin it is lui kang. considering it is lui kang (most probable) at the rate midway was releasing stuff I bet we will see more of him b4 the game is out...I mean unless they want to keep him as a surprise...which they have already blown lol

Looks like you indeed did see it before me. I checked through several pages before posting so as not to post any old news. Didn't make it THAT far back though. But seems people were having trouble with the links. And when that happen people lose interest or think you're lying. Well hats off to you for finding it first. It doesn't matter to me who posts it, as long as it is known... and now it is so all is well.

I kno!!! I don't want any credit or anything like that... but I think it's funny how people all of the sudden wanted to see LiuKang.. and before they didnt give a crap.. heheh

first off i'd like to say history repeats itself...that being said here is an example. we all know a pic. of a women wearing green was released fighting kabal...no one thought it was jade even though it was abviouse. I think the same thing is going on with some now, i for one believe it is lui kang, good find.

^^^^Agreed! Well put! I think it's Liu also. Shame it's not a good shot of him. I'd kill to see what he looks like. I knew they'd make people like Tanya and Kabal look kickass but Kang is the one I'm worried about for some odd reason. I hope it's worth the wait.

I think it looks more like Cyrax than Liu Kang. In fact, I'd say most of you are just wishful thinking.

Cyrax - has a green tinge to him in MK3, has black pants, has long black hair (arguably wires). And for that glowing thing - it could be warping the colour, it could not. All depends on camera angles.

That red tinge? It is there, very slightly, but I think you're plucking hairs out of Chewbacca as far as that is concerned. (ie running with just one option out of 1,000,000 possibilities)

I simply cannot decide. The pic isn't clear enough for me to make a definite decision. Could be Darrius.

I don't see the red tight, but I think it could be Liu too... It seems absolutely not as a cyborg...

THAT is an admirable attitude to have. At this site, you tend to have to suffer through a lot of glory hogs and credit mongers (not naming any names, but at least one posted in this topic.) I just want to thank you for your positive attitude, and policy of "it doesn't matter who found it as long as the community is informed."

That said, I'm not blown away by how obviously it's Liu Kang like everyone else is. I've got better than 20/20 vision, and I've squinted, squirmed, contorted my eye muscles, and it really could be any number of people. Perhaps the colour is from the projectile he's firing up. Does anyone have any other reference videos with Chess Kombatants holding the balls of energy?

I just find it hard to believe that the MK Team would make the first introduction to ZombieLiu via a barely recognisable Chess Kombat piece.
UPDATE: I've checked out the video for myself and the energy balls don't produce any noticeable tint as far as I can tell, so who ever that is... they're definitely green.

From the pics up close all I see is a green blur so I checked out my vid for myself and found:

1. whoever it is, they are green.
2. he is shirtless
3. he is wearing black pants
4. he is wearing arm bands
5. I can't make out a headband of anysort or long hair

But with all that being said I too think its Liu...there is not anyone else that I could imaging to have that alt
