well since everyone is sick of this question...i'll answer it...some endings in mortal kombat DO NOT happen...this is one...while it is believed that shang tsung was killed in some form or another(how else could liu kang's spirit escape?) the whole zombie thing hasn't really been made clear...the only thing that we do know from in interview is that liu kang will return in two forms zombie/spirit...nothing else is really known right now...and don't ask for pics either.....none have surfaced...i'm still waiting for smoke pics myself

Liu Kang is coming back as a spirit form in his primary costume. His second outfit makes him look like a zombie. Same character, different outfits. Confirmed by Boon in interview.

I would totally be the zombie. If it actually looked like Liu, it has to look sweet.

lui kang was accidentally dug from the grave by the evil sorcerer shang tsung at a local cemetary in outworld where he works as a part time undertaker. since shang tsung lost his wife 300 years ago, he thought he might need a company. he resurected lui kang and made him his right hand and his best friend for life. one night shang tsung went home early from work to give his new found best friend a birthday surprise. to his shock he caught lui kang and quan chi naked in "the garden of love play"(rumored to be a new arena). he immediately killed quan chi with a single blow of his flaming skull fireball. the flaming skull bounced at lui kang leaving him unconscious. shang tsung drag lui kang to the forest where he cast a spell at him and turned lui kang into a tree, forever!!!

If this would be confirmed it would be on this site. This is definately NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT confirmed. It is unknown if he is a playable character. Stop spreading rumors.

I think that Liu Kang will return as a corrupted spirit who is a pawn to the Dragon King. Shang Tsung must either be dead, or he has lost some of his power for these events to happen.

The main theme of this new Mortal Kombat game is deception. I think alot of Earth Realm's warriors are going to be decieved by the evil Liu Kang and some might possibly die.

I hope that in the next update we get, the Mortal Kombat development team could give us more information on Liu Kang.

Didn't johnny Cage come back from the dead and he looks human so should Liu.

Just keep in your mine Raiden is the Narrator and he
usually only here rumours from the other warriors so everything he says isn't true.

Johnny Cage was resurrected by the gods. (just like everyone else in the world, after MK3. Remember, Shao Kahn killed every last normal human during that game, and stole their souls.)

But, in MK: Deadly alliance, his story was changed to state that he never really died, as it was part of a movie he was making in which the studio decided to kill him off instead of following his real-life adventures like they were suppossed to.

As for Liu, his soul will likely be seperate from his body. One good, the other bad, because no god resurrected him.
