Liu Kang
Just a thought: Maybe Liu Kang will be returning to the game but not as an actual playable fighter. I've noticed that the articles that mention that Liu Kang is coming back never said that he'd be a playable fighter. Maybe he'll have some kind of a role in the Konquest version. Maybe he comes back from the dead to act as a guide or instructor to help develop your fighter. I wouldn't jump to conclusions so quickly and assume that we're going to be able to fight with him in his Ghost/Zombie form.

He might be playable in arcade mode (IMO). If he is to return I wanna see his dragon transformation fatality, that was badass in MKII!
Another thing is that I can't picture Liu Kang as a zombie. Aren't zombies supposed to be evil? As a spirit, yes I can imagine him. I'll just have to wait and see till the game comes out.

What's the point of having a character in a game if he/she isn't playable or a boss???

| mpetrie Wrote: Isn't that the case with Bo Rai Cho? Last I heard he's not a playable character but only makes a special appearance in the Konquest mode as your personal tutor. If he's been named as a playable fighter... I must have missed that one. |
Wow, you really don't pay attention to whats goin on do you. Not only has Bo'Rai'Cho selectable, hes been that way since the first builds of the game. He is also one of the 12 original selectable fighters. We have also seen his 3 fighting styles as well as both his fatalities. I think thats proof enough.
As for Liu, who knows. He should have stayed dead, but thats neither here nor there...

He's playable. There is no question about it. He's been seen fighting in actual matches against some newer characters. It's more than official.
