I still would've liked for him to have the San Jie Gun, but if they can both use the Nunchaku differently enough from each other, and if both versions are balanced and useful, then I'll be fine with that.

they won't use them differently.
i seriously doubt that they would make two different move lists for the same weapon...it'd be awesome if they did though.

Hmm, that's kind of a shock. I was almost sure that Liu would be one of the characters with 2 hand to hand styles. Does anyone know if they're still planning to do that? Or did they decide to give everyone a weopon?

Enough people have swords as it is. A sword doesn't really suit Liu Kang's character, anyway.
Hopefully, they do make some contrasts between Johnny Cage and Liu Kang's Nunchaku styles.

liu should either have chains or double nunchaku.

I'm still pretty confident that in the final version,he'll use those chainhooks. After all,he is shown holding them and even fighting with them (albeit in a cutscene) in his MKA Profile Kard.

WHAT?!?!?!? Why? I mean Cage already has that weapon. Why couldn't they do the same thing like they did with the Broadsword. They gave Quan Chi 2 sword and Kung Lao got 1 Broadsword.
Better yet, Why can Liu's Chains become his weapon? Man, duplication is become a real assest in this game as moves, fighting styles, and weapons are being used over again. It takes a whole bunch of fun right out of it.

Actually Liu Kang & Johnny Cage had different combo buttoms from each other.

Another disappointment. What's new? I was happy to see those chains he had, but once again they took the easy way out.

What's a San Jie Gun? I don't mind Liu Kang having nunchaku like Cage.

I wish this wasn't true. He doesn't need the nunchaku. The should just let Cage have it.
I'd rather Kang retain his Jun Fan and Pao Chui fighting styles and no weapon. If he must have a weapon, it should be his chains!

alas, i MUST NOT lose hope... the hook chains might still be in the game as a style for KAK.
we should let our voices be heard. even if no character actually has it for himself or herself to use as a style, please just give hook chains to us for a style in KAK, Midway!
everyone, i swear on my very life itself, the company will get sacrificial offerings to them in their name regularly from me if the style is in the game, that's just how damn important it is and how much it means to me. i'm just about that f*cking crazy where i will seriously do that.

Well I believe that Liu probably didn't get the hook and chains as a style because his alternate is probably his human form and it would be weird to pull that out I guess. I think he should have had his Dragon Sword from MK4 that would have been cool, but I think he should have had some kind of sword.

I did'nt care for cages nunchaku moves. Especially how the last part of his combo he spun it around behind his back where liu would pop em up.
