Why would it be weird? It's not like the chains are embedded in his flesh or something; they are just wrapped around his forearms. Besides,I always thought that having human Liu as an alt was a stupid idea. At least make him a Spirit Liu.
Also,the "Dragon Sword" Liu had in MK4 was actually a flamberg,and although it was kinda neat,Liu is still our friendly neighborhood Bruce Lee ripoff,so the nunchaku suit him much better. But seeing as he had to steal them from Johnny,I wasn't that excited about them. Come on,he already has weapons on his body (very,very badass and potentially very,very deadly ones),and he doesn't get to use them? That makes as much sense as forcing Scorpion to fight with a staff or something just as random,despite the fact that he has two swords on his back.
I still say he's gonna use the chainhooks. In fact,we've already seen him use them,even it was a cutscene.

omg...... i hated kang even more when i found out he stole cages weapons... cage needs them! u dont deserve them!!! and two of the same weapons i mean, surely theres enough different weopons in the world to go around! the hooks wuld be awesome but yeh kinda strange on his alt... why is his alt human? meh, and as for the MK4 dragon sword, i think it looks to much like ashrahs kriss......
i remember a while ago when there was all these threds about "boon is listening to us fans", boy were we wrong.... lol
