the envelope thing is kool and all , but if you check it to see who the invite is from , it causes lag . if it was the players name instead of the envelope it wouldnt cause this problem .
i never sayd it lags you out . i sayd it causes slight lag .

GESS GUYS!!! Fox up with this whole lag thing? Instead of focusing on the overall benefit you counter it with lag argument.
I have never lagged over the pop up envelope.

what are you talking about ? i sayd it lags when you check it .
it would be kool if it sayd the challengers name instead of an envelope .
other than that its not bad .

When I open them up, I've never noticed lag but pause since I pause the screen to check who it's from.
I check them before the round starts, best time to check it. Then again once you get used to it, you can do it fast.

So is it literally an envelope? With the flap and all? Do you need a virtual letter opener to open it?

I like Xbox live's setup far better.
In UMK3 at least, you can voice chat while you play and while you are in a room with a group of people playing a tournament, too.
Say there is 4 people in the tourney, they can all voice chat with each other there, and when 2 people are fighting, the other 2 can still chat and comment with the 2 fighting as well which is pretty fun.
Feels so much like the arcade when you have friends standing next to you who either comment on a combo or move you've made or cheer you on.
I don't have MKA for Xbox but when I was on playing Halo2 on my 360 I saw that MKF was on playing MKA and sent him a message then.
So I really don't see how anyone can "hide", because if you choose "appear offline" for Xbox live in your settings NONE of your friends can see you whatsoever so you'd not get to fight them or play them online if they did that.
That option is really made for when you are playing a single player game and don't want to be interrupted by friends wanting to play right then.
