Opinion my good friend, opinion. I suggest you look it up. I also suggest you play as Kabal and then play as Mavado and if you still think the same then ok, but I really can't believe how.

Yep, Mavado should come back. He's got too much of a story to just leave unresolved. I mean, did he kill Kano? Will he attack the Lin Kuei? Will he ally with Sektor? Just what will happen? I want to know.

Well, mavado looks awesome and evil, but hes not a good fighter, Kabal had better moves

1. There is a Red Dragon stage in Deception, and they wouldn't have it there unless there was a Red Dragon member in the game
2. They haven't capitalized on his story yet, and the MK Staff probably wouldn't kill him off until they explore him more and
3. If Kabal is coming back then he obviously has to fight someone, and mavado is, of course, the best choice.

True, but isn't that girl Kara or something from the Red Dragon? Or is she from the Black Dragon.

That could explain the reason for the board. But I highly doubt he will return and I hope I'm right.

Kira is from the Black Dragon I believe.

I agree with cmeth, i hope mavado isnt in the game. Maybe Kabal will feud with Kira over possesion of the Black Dragon since Kano is dead.

A bit over a month later I'm gonig to have my say. I'll look at this as an "unfanboy" even though there will probably be an excuse of me being bias to Mavado, since IMO, he is a MUCH better character.

Let's look at this in a rational form.

Storyline
Since when was Mortal Kombat not about the storyline? Great plot, great characters, good ideas all around. All that contributes to a backbone with the flesh being the fighters battlin git out to finish the story (details like the face and eyes of the series).

Kabal had a basic and unoriginal storyline. Punisher meets Jason Voorhees. Kills bad guys brutally. Great, whoopee.

Mavado is the leader of a gang that has been deceiving and killing prior to when the series began. They have hidden in the shadows, despite being some of the greatest fighters in the MK universe. I wouldn't be surprised if the White Lotus had no idea the Red Dragon even existed.

I think it's ridiculous that Kabal has been brought back from the dead (he was likely going to be turned into glue by the MK team).

Kabal got his rear-end whooped. What more do you need?

Gameplay
Non-comparable. Sure Mavado wasnt the best as far as special moves go (he was pretty good though IMO), but I can assure you, Kabal's moves in MK3 were 2D based. In 3D both will be fairly useless.

Mavado hands down.

I'd like to see Kabal return with a Chainsaw or something (it would make him more original). I'd still like to see Mavado added to the game, even if it is closing up. BTW, how the MK Team can steal their own dieas for character design and weapons is ridiculous. How is Mavado a Kabal "ripoff" when he is overall the better and more original character? He uses the Hookswords which he was originally supposed to take from the defeated Kabal. How does that make him inferior?

Just a little random note. Does anyone else find that Mavado isn't to successful with his killings. He "killed" Kabal and he lives, then he "killed" Kenshi and he lives. Kano fans rejoice, he may have been left for dead (which appears to be a Mavado and/or Red Dragon ritual), and survived.
