Why not have both characters? Kabal could want revenge for Mavado killing Kano, or any of his other friends in the Black Dragon, and Mavado could just want to finish the job of eliminating all members of the Black Dragon.

Kabal is an asshole.Mavado will always beat him up,take away his favourite weapon and is much smarter than him.Don't say kabal is better than mavado,because we haven't seen his performance in 3d,so we will have too wait and see.

I like Kabal better, but that's really more of a gameplay/story thing.

I've already said my two cents on how Mavado sucks and Kabal rips but now i have a new question. How do you think Kabal will use the Hookswords? Do you think it'll be similar to Mavado in MK:DA or do you think the MK team will take the time to make the weapon different (Scorpion and Kenshi MK:DA same sword different name now that was weak) or are we gonna have a Mavado in a Halloween costume dressed up as Kabal?

What are you talking about?You don't know that kabal came back to be get beat the shit out by mavado.that fool will never get those hook swords to run across the arena and tripped people.

I hate Mavado. Kabal should whoop his ass, take his hookswords, and rip his head off with the hookswords then show him his face and then throw the body into the acid pool then eat his head.

I like mavado he is mkclassic for me and knowing he killed an unpoplar character like kabal it really took away his fame.

I think Kabal and Kenshi might have a connection. Both characters were victims to Mavado and they were both left for dead.

Mavado and the Red Dragon are a big threat to Earth Realm. I think Kabal might join forces with Sonya and Kenshi to get revenge on all the damage the Red Dragon caused.

The majority of you all like kabal more just because he was in more MK's then Mavado so of course he's gonna have better moves and fatalities he's had more chances. TO tell you the truth I like them both eqaully I think Mavado needs another chance with 2 fatalities this time that'll be awesome plus all the other alities they will have like the new one can't imagine that one yet tho lol.

So I believe they should bring him back it'll be a great battle.

I'm glad to see that someone else likes them both, but Kabal was technically in only one game (I consider MK3-MKT to be one set, but that's IMO). In the upgraded games, he didn't get any new moves, a new storyline, new looks, and only the addition of a Brutality like everyone else. He might've been in more games, but he seems to be on the same boat as Mavado.

Maybe, when Kabal comes back I want him to have Hsu Hao's weapon the Sun-Moon that was the coolest weapon in the game.

The reason we can't see mavado's real potential in the game is because mkda gameplay was slow,and had one fatality per character.In mk3look how many stuff they,five ways too finish your opponent,teleports.Even if lui kang was in mkda he would of stink like the rest since the gameplay was so slow and I'm glad alot of classics wasn't in da or we would of thought they were lame.Look in mk 3 shang tsung could of morph,reptile could of diappear

Kabal is alot better then Mavado. IMO Mavado is lame as all hell and doesn't deserve to be in any MK game ever again.

Kabal is taking his spot, cause all Mavado was, was some lame guy with kool hook swords. Now that the original hook sword wielder is back, there is no need for Mavado.

I seriously hope Kabal kills Mavado with the hook swords.

I don't recall anyone even saying that Kabal was going to have his hookswords upon his return... Personally I loved Mavado even though his moves sucked. He had personality, where as Kabal was the opposite... great moves, bad character. Both should return, Mavado with the Hookswords and Kabal with the Sun-Moon or Butterflys. That way you can have Kabal get his hookswords back in his ending.

Just b/c Kabal has a lot of fan doesn't mean that Mavado can't have any!

I kow he was no the best character in MKDA, but he was an OK fighter. however this is just my humble opinion

I'm sorry but you sound like nothing more then a little kid rambling on about his fanboy character love.

Since when was MK always about the story considering it is a fighting game? Never,imo. If a character is good and has a good fanbase(which Kabal does) then that character will stay.

Mavado has a small fanbase and is not a classic at all since he just first appeared in MK:DA. His moves also suck where as Kabal was top tier in MK3/UMK3. Wow, lets keep Mavado all because his story is kool even though as a fighting game character he sucks.

Play some real MK players and then you won't like Mavado once you find out he isn't really good at all against some with actual skill. MK is about kool characters indeed, but ones that are good.

Oh and btw, I'm not a Kabal fan, but I do like Kabal alot more then I like Mavado since Kabal is worth playing as and can kick ass.

I have a feeling that when Kabal comes back, his story (and back story) will have a full overhaul, along with everyone else's.

As for me, I always thought Kabal had style just in the way he looked and moved. Mavado was just mediocre to me...

why do people think that if mavado and kabal will both be in mkd mavado will still have the hookswords? thats like having jonny cage freeze people or have liu kang shoot lightning.
