Just to let you know, a new MK game has come out ever year since Deception in 2004.
And they have a signed contract saying that they need to release an MK game every year, so yeah, look into what you say before you say it.
2004- Deception
2005- Shaolin Monks
2006- Armageddon(PS2 and Xbox)
2007- Armageddon(Wii)
And the new MK for the DS is scheduled for a November release, but don't be surprised if they push it back to 2008 so that will give them longer to work on MK8.
But anyway, there should be and will be no expansion. That's just an all around bad idea. The game was bad, let it die and hope for the best for this next generation.
