Well Shang Tsung is rumored to be dead in kenshis bio.

Shang Tsung had to have been brought back to life, he did die from Raiden's blast. Kenshi's sword told him so and plus Liu Kang's soul is free.
Im so in love with Johnny Cage right now.
CANT WAIT to read his bio!!! Im very pleased to see they have given his character the depth he so desperately needed, he feels more serious and truly important.
Whats also awesome is how even “some” of the mk characters underestimate him to be later surprised, reminds me of the fans who kept mistaking his supposed 100 deaths and resurrections an also who kept complaining about his lack of “actions” in the game despite his past importance.
Hopefully they are building him up to become something really cool and not a disappointment.
As for the bio itself, awesome. I really like it. Interesting stuff is going on and conquest is being explained, same with Sareenas bio, that one was also good.
Might post more later....

The old Raiden is dead, as it says his spirit is reborn.
I think this means the new Raiden is an entirely different being, his only similarities are his look and his purpose of protecting Earthrealm. He doesn’t have any knowledge of who he has known in his previous life. This Raiden does not share the same compassion that the other one has grown to have.
And in a very odd coincidence, Raiden is using Liu Kang (zombie) to carry out punishment to anyone that slightly puts Earthrealm in danger, not having any knowledge of who Liu Kang is.
This also makes sense why Raiden was so ignorant of who he was dealing with in konquest.

I concur.
I don't think the coincidence is that odd. I'm sure he needed a Strong Enforcer that would do his bidding without Question efficently. He could have gone to the Shaolin Temples in Search of a Worthy subject, but decided having the Undead Champion of Mortal Kombat impose his Wrath would be better. (After seeing that Big ass Shrine from Kung Lao's DA ending and MKD)

I think his sacrifice got botched. In Fujin's bio it says that Raiden was supposed to be reborn with no memory of the past. But this Raiden clearly did have his memories. He knew things that he should have forgotten, such as who Taven is. Its still the same Raiden, but something definately went wrong when he tried to sacrifice himself.

Here's what I like:
- Fujin & Kung Lao is a pretty badass alliance.
- Explanation of L!u K4n9's Reanimation (lol, I made a Linkin Park joke)
- Johnny Cage becoming a bit more important
Here's what I don't like:
- Fujin attempting to hinder Taven was a silly idea to begin with. He's a god, and should know that this event can't be stopped. Regardless, it means nothing because he [apparently] couldn't locate Daegon.
- Johnny Cage vs. Shinnok? How did Shinnok get released from the Netherrealm? We'll find out I suppose.
- Liu Kang's corpse killing people at Raiden's whim is a bit iffy. Not that I can think of anything better myself (I'll take a rain check, it's 1:30 AM).

This Raiden is freaking crazy. In his ending, he got rid of ALL the other realms so that they wouldn't threaten Earth. He probably made his enforcer off people he thought were threats to earth. Maybe someone with an alliance to tarkatans or something.
So, that's probably it. Liu's killing small fish that disobey the rules, while Raiden goes after huge sharks that may alter the very realms (like Taven's quest).

Raiden actually allied with a huge shark, who somehow convinced him that Earthrealm would go uninvaded if Taven's quest were to be suddenly cut short. So it's almost like the mayor of the town nearest to the water allied with Jaws, agreeing to hand over the people determined to bring the shark down in exchange for no further attacks on hapless swimmers.

I didn't think I would, but I'm actually starting to really enjoy these Bios. I like how long they are, gives them room to explain a lot. Cuz let's face it: a lot needs explaining.

Past importance? Funny. I'm having a hard time seeing just how Cage was so important in the past. He never excitedly had an important role other than just being another warrior on Earthrealm's side who's main goal was just to feed his vast ego. Though, you're right. This scenario with him being the one gathering Earth's warriors is rather awesome in that he's finally getting some development. (His ending was one of the few good ones in Armaggeddon)
But still, Cage has always been more of a supporting character, he was never part of an "MK Trio." (as you often put it, I think) True, he's been there since the beginning but he never did anything to contriubute to the story he was just the comic relief.
Hmm, if I ever do an Armageddon parody, I think the main plot will be after he beats Shinnok (through sheer dumb luck) he tries to warn everybody, but no one takes him seriously.

i've read someone thinks that cage is shang tsung.
i don't agree at all, because shang tsung have no interest to bring into a deathtrap the other heroes,in fact after Onaga's coming shang tsung is dead.
even if he was resurrected by some one i'll doubt that he want to put himself in danger to kills someone that is no more dangeorous.
i think that this is the true Cage, but howver i coukld be wrong.

I've gotta say Im really liking these bio's, they are alot better than I thought they would be. Its just nice to see that some effort and thought has been put into them.
Not only is it a nice read, but it actually helps elevalte the game itself in a way.

Very interesting, I can't wait to see where their going with the whole Johnny Cage storyline. Question though, it said he talked to Argus and Argus said they would bring about the new world. But didn't argus get killed by Daegon?

I doubt Daegon could kill Argus. Argus is a god, is he not?

Shinnok could help him. Just like Taven. Daegon is a half-god. Raiden for example. He can't stay in outworld to long because his powers don't Re-Generate if i rember correctly. Argus is the god of edenia. Who know's how vulnerable he could be if he left that realm.

The bio says Fujin talked to Argus long ago about where they were.
That was before Daegon killed them...if he did.

Daegon's ending mentioned that Argus and Delia weren't truly killed, and that they had been testing him. He failed this test by "killing" his parents. How they truly did this is beyond me, unless they have a hidden supply of clones. Perhaps Vogel is using this part of the ending to explain how Argus and Delia are still alive.
