DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDEZ! They put my 2nd favorite character's bio up now and this one is by far one of the best bios I have ever read (for MKA of course tongue). I like it. Onaga is only pretending to join Quan Chi's alliance but if he wins, all will fall. Fucking awesome. I hope they do Moloch next grin. Y'all already know I'm happy that Onaga's bio is up. Yahoo! *runs off leaving a cloud of dust behind me like Moses Sandor from Tales of Legendia* Yeehaw! *continues running around like Moses* *comes back* Ok I got that out of my system now. glasses

Good stuff, on the whole. True that there are issues with Onaga's original body, and Reptile's, and the villain team-up is a stretch, but it's better than Jarek's "DURRRRR GOTTA KILL 'EM ALL" crap. I hope we get more as in-depth as this.

*sings* Gotta kill 'em all! Gotta kill 'em all! ....Gotta kill 'em all! Gotta kill' em all!

Gotta kill 'em all.....Pokemon! grin

But yeah, I like this bio. There isn't too much we can expect from a character like Onaga, who was introduced only in MKD. And besides, it's not like he has a high chance of returning in the next-gen storyline.
Awesome bio. The best so far IMO.
But I don't like the fact that he seems so much weaker now.
MKD was really really dark and it really gave this feeling of eternal doom.
Now Shujinko + Nightwolf defeated Onaga and he's pretending alliance...

Loved the intro with Onaga devastating Shao Khan... sleep

I'm seriously staring to wonder, from this bio, if future bios will try to canonize the 'Burly Brawl' between the good and evil/neutral characters in the intro movie. Makes me anxious to see the other 'evil' characters' bios, now...

I disagree.

Loads can be expected from Onaga considering he was first originally introduced in the storyline during MKDA, and what a great deal of development and power of suspense and potential they gave him in that game. He was perfectly built there, though introduced with lesser impact in MKD, still, he has enough story potential to do loads of stuff.

While I do think like you that he will most likely not return for the next gen games, its still no reason to assume "we cant expect much more" from characters like him, who have been around for a while or will most likely not return.

Sorry, but I disagree.

MKA is supposed to tie up loose ends and come to closure for this generation's storyline.

If you're expecting something along the lines of his backstory (e.g. the time when Outworld was under his rule), a side game would be more appropriate. If you're talking about something else, please explain.

Well, MKA did almost nothing about tying loose ends or bringing closure to the storyline, so I dont see how it could be a problem now days, specially considering MK8 will or might be the one to do that, no matter what we are told in this game/bios.

And a side game is not necessary to give a bit more in-depth story of either his past or some sort of twisted unexpected plot when that can be explained in bios. Its not really necessary since we know whats “enough” or “necessary” for his character, I agree, but my point was that I don’t feel its accurate to say we cant expect much from a character who has only been in a few games compared to others. There are plenty of characters that have been in lesser games then others and have expanded in more interesting plots. Just because he has been around for little doesn’t mean we cant expect much, considering the potential Onagas storyline has. That’s my point. smile

I can kind of see what you're trying to say. I guess I just don't have that much interest in Onaga. He looked real promising in MKD's intro, but when actually fighting him, he was kind of a joke....I don't mean that he was easy to beat. I just mean that his mannerisms and such irked me.

I think that if MKA wasn't the last game for this generation, I would've liked to have seen him continue on for one or two more installments and get some more backstory on him. That would've been better. The same can be said for other characters like Sektor.
