I couldn't download the standard quality one because there was an error. I did, however get a nice low quality one with no sound.... so all I can say is, he dressed very well.

Well, I'm still tryna figure out what the interview itself is about. The whole time I was watching it, I couldn't tell what any one was saying...I didn't get one single detail besides something about SHAOLIN MONKIES? lol.
It was loud like crazy in that video...hopefully there's going to be some sort of like, typed up version of the interview..

Hmm..couple notes:
LOVE how they are bringing back the jumping aspect. When I saw characters do a FRONT flip for a change, I was happy.
Ed all but dodged the wake up game aspect, which IMO is VERY important to helping balance this currentt edition of MK. I hope they do add this in, but from the looks of it, we are NOT getting a wake up game.
Create a Fatality is sounding cooler by the minute. I am expecting there are going to be some "secret fatality moves" are are going to have to be discovered in this whole deal, some character specific and some not. If they pull the "secret fatality moves" idea off, it should be really cool.
Wish more was revealed about Konquest, such as what realms will be visited. Will Chaosrealm make a return? Also, are we still doing Koin hunting? I found that strangely amusing.
All in all, great interview! This MK is gonna be a lot of fun, especially with bringing back some of the oldschool gameplay.

I cannot believe that there isn't gonna be at least one standard fatality for each character. What if someone doesn't want to sit there and put in a bunch of button combos just to see it go to waste when you acccidently push the wrong button? Don't get me wrong, I like the Kreate A Fatality idea and it should be fun for the most part but what if you just want to sit back, put in one quick button sequence and enjoy watching your opponent be torn apart? Is there gonna be some sort of save feature where you can save your kreated fatality after you do it once and then just put in one button sequence after each fight to see the entire fatality that you just created? Wow, that would actually be an awesome idea..................... Ed Boon, I hope your listening. glasses

Good job on the wake-up question, just need some more at Fight Night to plant the right gameplay ideas into his head before work on MK8 starts.

Sounds good. I actually like the idea of Create-A-Fatality. Most of us complained about unoriginal fatalities last time around, now we can just do it ourselves! tongue I think it's a brilliant idea, and also, while everything else in the MK legacy has been getting 'harder' in difficulty, fatalities have stayed the exact same. Now, we can bump it up a notch in difficulty and be creative in our own little disturbing way. grin

Also, they aren't exactly throwing away the one thing that makes this franchise stand out (fatalities). I mean, I can already see people's excited faces when it says "And for the first time, create your very own FATALITY!" and people shit themselves.

in the video it does show characters jumping forward and over the other guy but what i want to know is are the jumpkicks back? Or just launchers. Can you do all the old school moves roundhouses, standing kicks special moves etc.It looks like you can flip around but the way you start air combo's look's just like button links in the air. how creative is this going to be? Just ground combo's in the air i hope it is better than that.

Overall I liked the info in this interview. I only have one gripe, and I'm gonna say it, because eventually it WILL come up again, and we will all groan...

I can't believe you didn't ask about Meat, Khameleon, Chameleon, & Monster. *Slaps Forehead*

Especially since you took the time to touch on missing characters, and mentioned Motaro, whom we -already- had confirmed, instead of them. Though I see you did apologize in the transcript for forgetting he was, so it's understandable I suppose. Still though. It's disheartening.

Please note, I'm not trying to start another "are they real characters" discussion, or an, "Are they in the game" discussion, because everyone has their own opinions on this, and I'm sure we've all heard them. And that's basically what my point -is-. I'm sure we're all sick of seeing them pop up every day in a new thread, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to end those threads once and for all.

*Shrug*
video was a bit awkward but im gonna read the transcript

Seemed like you were nervous scott bishop. Instead of saying "MortalKombatOnline.com" so mcuh talk about the stuff that counts. Be considerate to us dial-up users. It doesn't matter where we heard it first!!!

Correction for transcript: (6th quote down)
EB - A lot of it was kinda based on the whole idea that this is the last Mortal Kombat we're going to see on the Playstation 3, X-Box, and we really...

It's Playstation 2!!

First off, I do try to be considerate to the dial-up users. That's why I provide low-quality versions of all the videos I make. It would obviously save me a great deal of time not to make them, but I realize that not everyone has broadband. :p

Secondly, it's not a typo. He actually did say "Playstation 3".

Hope this helps...

Because people do not give a shit about them in the first place, at least save perhaps for Khamelion. It is simply not needed, when therer are better things to do.

An interesting interview for the most part.I read it since I was having problems downloading the video.

360 fans have their hopes answered with it being backwards compatible it looks like.

Looking good, I can't wait until E3 where there will be more info released.

-Because people do not give a shit about them in the first place, at least save perhaps for Khamelion.- Actually this is kind of narrowed down due to the fact that there lots of topics out there were fans are arguing about their appearance in MKA. -It is simply not needed, when therer are better things to do.- Isn't the character rooster one of the main factors in all the of game genres? I for one had rather wanted to know about their appearance instead of the getting filled with more crappy information about the "advancing" Konquest mode.
