The game was confirmed for a T+ rating quite early on.
We more recently found out that the game will feature fatalities for characters deemed appropriate (ie; various in the MK cast), while other characters will have non-lethal finishing moves (ie; Superman, Batman).

Shang Tsung confirmed. My interest has returned to the game. (take that Quan fans!) I, like some of you want a completely new look. The MKDA wasn't bad, but it was bulky as hell. Maybe a more fluid robe set like his original in MK1 but with the color scheme and flourishes of MKDA.

I'm glad Shang Tsung has made it into the fray. They need to announce Raiden next...
In regards to his outfit, I agree that his MKDA primary is awesome and easily my favourite costume for him. The alternate in that game would make a good main as that was a more up to date retro look but I think it's time he had an all new design. Seeing him old again would be cool but I'd prefer Shang to stay youthful. As queve said, they should give him a mix of classic and new. If not, they should just go all out on the new.

keep the Deadly alliance look but make him some what his old man self but powerful looking. now cat woman should be interesting maybe a batman returns or modern look for her or a mix of both. sounds to me this game still has life in it and will be amazing. despite that teen rating which to me is not bad but not so great.

I liked Shangs MKSM look, the young version, it just need more detials, i want soo keen on his MKDA look, i hope he has 2 costumes the old man look, and the MK2 look from MKSM

Well I knew Catwoman was in but hey at least we know Shang's in it. I dont think Quan Chi should be in now, we only need one sorcerer. I agree with most people, his MKDA primary and alt I thought were awesome, his best costumes by far. But I think he should look revamped but still classic. Maybe put some purple in his costume like the original MK, i dont know maybe, though I did like the MKDA red,bronw, and gold colour scheme.
I cant wait to see gameplay and more revealed charaters.
I hope to see Reptile, Mileena, Kitana, Raiden, Kung Lao.
DC wise im not to sure, as Queve said, Poision Ivy would be great in a MK game, though I doubt it now.

Again I don't understand what is so wrong about telling your fans who all is going to be in the game.Give us about 90% percent of the cast and leave the rest as a surprise but give us just enough to get excited about.Being secretive just pisses people off and makes atleast me wonder if the cast isn't that great and maybe thats why you are holding off on telling everyone.

Sure I enjoyed listening but come on,give us something new to hear.

Theres a lot of things I understand while listening but theres things in there that also worries me.The podcast was about 15 minutes to long cause they didn't really touch on anything we didn't already know,but those who didn't know that stuff,well I guess it was new to them.

Anyways,boon acts like if he lets people know the cast now that it will effect game sales.The one thing he never understands and probably never will,is how to make great gameplay to follow with his secretive behavior.

Its your gameplay that makes or breaks......the game sales.Like why MKA on the GBA sucked was cause the horriable gameplay,graphics was fine but that game sucked at gameplay.

So I am just ranting on now but this boxing thing doesn't excited me either.I never liked Fight Night and thats just how they made it sound to me.I'm done for right now.

I like Shang Tsung's DA appearance but I agree that he needs to go back to his MK2/3 look which is of a fighter. His DA alternate isn't bad. Although I'm sure they'll give him a new look maybe along those lines.

Originally fatalities were not going to be in the game until Boon saw how many people bitched and then he decided to add them. He can lie all he wants about fans jumping the gun on no fatalities, but his sorry ass said it and led to believe it as well.

I knew that this game was going to be a non canon/what if. I mean how could it be MK8? That would mean for the rest of MK's timeline Superman and Batman would have played some key roles in history. That is just stupidest sounding ideas ever. As a canon game this title could and most likely would destroy MK's story. As a what if game it will expand MK's potentials. I'm glad to hear this confirmed.

MK3 shang tsung is unstoppable, hope its that look.

In fact, since this game isn't going to be really canon they might as well give him Primary DA and Alternate MK1 or MK 3

OR

Primary something completely new and Alternate MK DA

Since at this point there is no canon storyline follow-up, it doesn't really matter whether he's back to his old self or the youthful DA self.

My favorite Tsung's look was in MK3. However I hope, they will create his new look using his MK1 costume. I think his MK1 costume was the most sinister and memorable. His MKDA costume was good, but it doesn't look like suit appropriate to fight.
