About Me

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yes sir, the check is in the mail."

Jack Burton still maintains his theory that this whole "rage mode" idea was a ploy to get DC to lighten up on the way their characters were portrayed in the game.

The MK team needed some sort of excuse to try to pass off some of the more brutal aspects of the game, and what better way to attempt to do that than to write it off as a storyline/gameplay element???

Hypothetical example:

MK Team: But Superman HAS TO KILL that person...he's suffering from the rage that has afflicted all the characters thanks to the worlds merging!!!

Okay, sucky example, but it illustrates the point. I'll bet they tried to use this as an excuse a lot in trying to come up with effective brutalities by the DC heroes. To what extent they were successful won't be evident until we have the game in our hands.

That aside, I'm a bit disappointed with Raiden's freefall special. I love the whole "shocking you to death" part, but the throw sorta sucks. I'd have much rather seen him body torpedo the person straight into the ground like a missle. Now THAT would have made ol' Jack Burton's day!

And THAT'S what Jack Burton has to say at this time.

Game looks pretty good, but I am not, and never have been, a fan of sharing moves. Did Deathstroke's sword attacks look familiar? I could swear that they are some of the EXACT same animations that Scorpion used for HIS sword attacks in Deception and MKA.

Now that is very disappointing.

Does he really? I dont really remember Scorpions sword attacks from mkd.
