I think maybe we took their partnership a little too seriously. Maybe they're not in love or intimate in any way, but they're just partners looking for a way to rule the whole thing and they're just reliant on eachother knowing this could all blow over.

Okay, unless mutants and/or people with humongous teeth show their love by SLASHING each other, I hardly doubt now they're in love.

It’s well known that in MK2 Mileena and Baraka were allied somehow. It even went as far as to say that Baraka made Mileena his queen when he defeated Shao Kahn to take control of Outworld. It’s true that his ending never took place but it’s also safe to assume that they have some sorta relationship. I also found it odd to see Baraka fighting Mileena in the MKD trailer there could be many explanations for that. As we know Mileena was killed in MK2 by Kitana perhaps Mileena is upset that Baraka wasn’t there to save her/help her or perhaps Baraka somehow betrayed her. I suppose the only way to find out will be to play MKD and see the storyline unfold. I’m curious to see where Midway is going with the new plot.
