I am also glad Mileena has the Sai now. At least now we'll get to see them used properly and with the deadliness they should have been wielded with in MKDA by Li Mei.

Yeah it just looked stupid to give anyone other than Mileena the Sais. It's like giving someone else other than Kitana fans. It just doesnt work. I hope the style is better in Deception, it will instantly look better anyway with the sais being given to their rightful owner.

Yeah I bet Mileena is gonna be pretty fucking fast with those Sais in her hand. I could picture her slicing and dicing people with them while spinning them around her fingers and stuff.

The only thing I hope she dosen't do is impale them in whoever she's fighting and not get them back untill the round is over. I'd rather see her do a throw or something with them, like stab the opponent in the shoulders and toss him or her over her head.

I agree, Li Mei, clearly did not know her ass from her elbow as far as the Sai were concerned...Mileena will show them Justice. As far as the whole impale thing goes...She should have one, but I'd like her's to be different. I think that to Impale she should throw them at her opponent, that would be cool and badass to see. Speaking of Throwing Sai, do you think she'll have that move back? You know fling her Sai forward, and energy in the form of Sai come out for a projectile? Hmmmm..I wonder how that'll look.

Yeah, I kinda caught that similarity too, but then again it was only the one combo, so we'll see. And even if that is the case, though highly unoriginal, at least the sai stance will have actual combos this time around.

I don't think Mileena will impale the opponent in the same way as Lei Mei did. I't be cool if she could throw them to impale them, like Kitana did with her fans.

Anyway I think Li Mei was good with the sais. It would be cool if they add some improvements with Mileena. For All we know the sais style could be the same as Li Mei from MKDA

No, I'm sorry but she sucked (as far as the Sai). Her movements were slow and she had no combos at all. You have only to look at other dipictions of the Sai in use to see this. Take Last Bronx for example...not the best game I'll admit, however Nagi was at least 10x better in the use of her sai then Li Mei was, She was quick, deadly, and had great combos. For a more detailed look, lets take Gabrielle from the Xena Series...her use of the Sai was very accurate and she came up with some pretty kick ass combinations with them....Then there's Neo in the Second Matrix movie, when He picks up the Sai in the hall he's fantastic with them, using both the offensive and defensive properties of the weapons with speed and grace. So no, Li Mei was by no means "good" with the sai in MKDA, and we've already seen Mileena do one combo, it was short, but it was still three hits, so I think it's safe to say that the Sai stance will be changed in MKD and that's what should happen.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought Li Mei was too slow, especially with the Sais. Is there anyone who played as Mileena at E3 who can tell us what she played like. Because as much as I love Mileena, if she isn't quick and crazy with the sias, I will be somewhat dissappointed, but I don't think we will.

Yes, it wasn't even worth it to switch to sai unless you were going for an impale...and I think Mileena is MUCH faster for footage we've seen, and though she holds the sai the same way Li Mei did, we did see her bust a combo, so I think it's looking good.

Agreed! As I've said to you before TomTaz, Li Mei would've been more deadly with a toothpick in MKDA! She was an embarassment to the Sai! Mileena is simply back to show her how it's done! The Sai will now be used to their fullest potential.

I believe it's one of the ones at IGN, one of the Gameplay vids I think. Hold on I'll go check and then edit this post when I'm sure. Edit: yup it's at ign it's the new trailer, the one with continued fight between Mileena and Baraka....look closely when Li Mei and Mileena are fighting on the Ying Yang level and you will see her do a quick three hit combo with the Sai that ends in a pop up.
