I'm trying to decide which system to buy for MK:A. I know XBOX would have better graphics( Isn't that important) and much better online play, but I can not stand XBOX's D-pad. I can not use it with speed an accuracy. I used to have a PS2 to XBOX converter controller, but it didn't work that great. PS2 has great controls, but how is the online for PS2? Is there a lot of lag because dial up users are allowed to play? Do not start a system wars. What would be better for MK:A from what I've told you?

Both versions (PS2 and Xbox) will be released in the PAL regions but if there is a Gamecube version in the future it will only be released in North America because that's what happened with MKD (due to poor sales of MKDA for the Gamecube, apparently).

Graohics are roughly the same u can barely see a difference so its not an issue. Online play is definately better on X-Box. However The controller of a PS2 is made for fighting games such as MK and thats why I will be purchasing the PS2 version. That and im getting a PS3 in November so i kinda have to.
i dont have an x-box, but i go to my freinds' houses and play it all the time. i'm with you, the Ps2 controller works better for me. But if its possible to put PS2 game on playstation 3 online, i would do that. they are completly revamping it to try and compete with x-box live. Graphics are better on x-box, but not by alot other than clarity. so in my opinion, get it for ps2.

I would recommend getting it for PS2. Your more comfortable with the PS2 controller so that will help out a great deal plus if you get a PS3 it will have backwards compatibility so you'll still be able to play MKA on your PS3. As far as graphics go it won't be much of a huge difference, not enough that you'll notice it in gameplay. Online play I have no idea 'cause I dont have the hardware to take my gaming online so that part is up to you my friend.
Peace Out

I have 3 PS2's (2 when m0s3pH is at college) and 2 XboX's but I pre-ordered it for PS2. I agree that XboX has better online play but PS2's is free (at least in my house for some reason!?!?) I also agree that PS2 has better controllers and the thing about XboX is you have to play a game constantly to get used to the controller if you stopped playing ofr a while. I will pick up the game for PS2 and I will most likely rent it for XboX to see which is better but IDK it is all based on how much you are used to the system.

I have both systems, and a 360. So, i'll probably get it for my Xbox, mainly because I'm so used to the Xbox's controllers. Hopefully, it'll be BC for the 360, because i love the 360's controller. DOA4 controls great on it, so i'm sure MKA would also. And for the people getting a PS3 in hopes of all their PS2 games being BC, don't get your hopes up like i did with the 360. Ign.com revealed that the PS3 will have the same Backwards compatibility as the 360, as in only games with emulators for the PS3 will be compatible. I'll try to find the article that said that. EDIT-Looks like i misunderstood the article, and PS3 will have full BC. So, thats something to definately look forward to for the PS3. So, i guess the console you get it for depends soley on which one you are used to the most, as Theninjarocks said earlier.
