I don't see why people hate Mavado. He's a bad ass, he's the leader of the black dragon, he has an interesting story, and he HAD the coolest weapon, the Hook Swords. (His moves sucked though)

I think that Hsu Hao is the only person that should just be forgotten. He's a big loser. Even Stryker is cooler than he is.

and in regards to the posts that assasain allah made: jax has no substance, hes just the typical black character that the gangstaz like but the true mk fans who know that Mortal Kombat is about REAL warrios like Ninjas and Sorcerers and Kung Fu hero's and Demons and Samurais and strange Nomads and shit, jax was okay (still nothing special) in 2 and 3, past that i feel he is a completely pointless character with no substant culture except for the media's commercial trendy poser (not to mention beyond annoying and repetative) culture.....characters like him shouldnt waste time of real mk fans who like it for what its supposed to be, along with cage and sonya and hsu hao, jarrek, mokap, those characters are useless in my opinion. ...MAVADO (i still dont understand how many of you manage to spell that name wrong so easily, its not hard to spell whatsoever) on the other hand, i feel is an instant classic, number 1: his weapons were NOT rubber bands!, they are ropes with sharp metal claws on the end of them, they're very old and traditionl martial arts weapons...and his moves were awesome, people dont like Mavado probably because he was hard to use and hard to beat, along with the whole dark look which (most likely) thugplayers that like jax wanted to hate and discriminate as gothic or something because of the trench coat, his 2nd costume is better anyway in my opinion....but anyway, i'm really hoping those characters i mentioned dont return...

This board has proven it time and time again, if the poster's favorite character isn't involved, then Mortal Kombat officially sucks, until they are announced. Remember before Smoke was announced (and long before this Noob Smoke thing), everyone was pissed he wasn't announced. When he finally was, everyone rejoiced.

However, there ARE characters I've never liked that I'd love to see gone.

For example, Mavado. Mavado was just a horrid design (he looked like a quasi-futuristic Spaniard Conquistador, or something). The elastic moves he did were poorly done. He just seemed really rushed...

Bo Rai Cho has always seemed to me to be nothing more than a joke character who was given a semi-serious story. When I first heard he was the one who trained Kai, Liu Kang, and Kung Lao, I was expecting an awesome character. What I got was a character who reminds me of my SNCOIC (facial wise, minus the newfound beard), and a need for farts and vomit. It just doesn't fit in Mortal Kombat. Moreso "World Heroes", or some crap fighting game like that.

Hsu Hao. They took a bad character and gave him a worse running mate. It's like WWE's JBL and Orlando Jordan. It's just a poor poor design.

Jax. Yes, he is terrible. He is just a stereotype (the first being some crap militant group, the second being the late 80's hip hop thing)

Sonya. Sorry Sonya fans, she's never done anything for me, and her story has pretty much been a standstill for the entire series, just replacing names. First it was Kano, then she was captured, then Kano again, then Jarek, then Movado/Hsu Hao... it's the same thing with a different face. She could either do an entire story makeover, or just be done away with. Also, if they DO bring her back, have her as some sort of rebel. She has been "Good" for too long.

Everyone else could REALLY be redone to look and play awesome. Quan Chi was pretty bad in 4, but in Deadly Alliance, his new primary costume made him look awesome (with the tatoos and everything), too bad he suffered from Fatality-Suckitude...

I'm gonna have to disagree with u. Seeing how Kabal is back Mavado is more needed than ever. Mavado took the hook swords from Kabal and now Kabal has them back, hence these two obviously have beef with each other and need to continue if not finish their feud in MKD.

Am I the only one that thinks Kenshi is just gay? He had a dumb story, he stole Scorpions sword and had the same moves with it, and how is he back in Deception? Ermac is the original with the telepathic moves, so IMO Kenshi is pointless now.

Quan Chi needs to be killed off for good, even though he's been an integral part of the evil side in recent games. His moves have always sucked and he is uninteresting. Same goes for Shinnok.

Sonya- I've always hated her, she was in the first game so it wouldn't look sexist. Now they got like 4 female fighters besides her, kill her off.

Kenshi- Honestly, this guy has the worst design ever. His story is over, he can die now.

Bo Rai Cho- This "joke character" tried being funny, but came off as repulsive and annoying. Whenever I fought him, I took joy in giving him the good ol one-two shoe shuffle.

Raiden- Always have, and always will hate this man. I was hoping in DA they would kill off this "God" to make them appear like a force or reckoning. But no, Raiden's just there to magically kill the evil people when Earth's warriors are getting ruined. I think this "God" should turn into a dead "God."

Current Sub-Zero: I hate hate hate Sub-Zero now. He looks like he's going to have a heart-attack any minute. The best Sub-Zero was the first one, where he showed no remorse and ripped heads off of people meaning he was the shit. But this 'Zero can be slaughtered anytime.

Though I thought the "gangsta" thing was overdone in Deadly Alliance. Plus they took away his quad slam, which was my favorite thing about him.
Anyways, the character I'd most like to see killed off and never return is Ermac.

i agree with thecurse and otb1369, i dont care much for kenshi, he was OKAY in da but he doesnt impress me so much and i have no use for him now that Ermac is back....personally i hope Ermac just kills him off to prove he will not bow to anyone (or something)....plus the whole thing with kenshi being part of the special forces team with sonya and jax makes him BEYOND gay, Ermac better not ally with this imposter, frankly i'm dissapointed Mavado didnt just just kill him for good, that'd make Mavado a real villan for all the people that have kenshi shoved up their ass, Mavado's better! >=D
