I don't care for an "official track" but I'd love to hear the music track that was for the option/main menu in Mortal Kombat 2 as the title track.

I'd like that idea, but it seems that music that isn't going to be released as a mainstream track, or isn't by a band which the smaller kids will enjoy, then they won't like the music.

I'm glad Midway went with Psi Ops for the band. Usually a company uses a band to ploy a hot new title.. in which case MK hadn't been around for a while so this was a huge ad campaign.

I hope Deception follows the MK roots and only dark music is involved.

No offense, but if they used rap, it would seem like a novelty. I wouldnt take it serious and neither would alot of people. It would cheapen the franchise. Along with the game. Dont get me wrong, I love hip hop. It just doesnt fit this at all.

well, I don't like it and it doesn't fit...at all.

If there's space, which probably will not likely happen, Midway should try to manage inputting music from every genre, either get some low paid band members to submit their music, so that you can customize mk:d every time it loads the type of music will play, but if they did have the money and was willing enough to give it, get popular bands from each genre and put em in mk, so every one would be happy.

I say put Linkin Park or AFI, or System of a Down.
or put somethin like Metallica and Nirvana.

Even though the song was "okay" in my opinion it sounded cheesey. I hope they don't use a big name band in the next game.
