MK3/UMK3 is just MK2 with the ideas that had been left out?
Without offending, but I encounter quite stupid this post.
The Konquest mode is simply awesome, INCREDIBLE! It was not going to be like that in MKDA.
The Mini games look FUN and Brilliant!
The DEATH Traps (well...maybe not since they look like pits, but this is sure new! It happens DURING the fight).
THE BIG LEVELS.
.....it has so much more....

I think these are the best graphics in any fighting game I've ever seen.
Yes, the lightning effects are great, but when compared to games like Soulcalibur 2, Bloody Roar, Tekken 4 and DoA 3 the character models suck, character movement is not so fluid and even the lightning effects are much better in other games. Also, someone could work on making the blood more realistic, as in some FPS games. I like the huge amounts of blood in MK, but it could be greatly improved.

The new Konquest mode is something I'm happy to hear about, although I expected the conquest mode in the last MK game to be like that (like in Tekken Force Mode in Tekken 3).

Also, the only thing that was changed from the first MK:DA videos until the actual game was released, were the character's weapons. I remember Shang Tsung originally had a staff. So what makes you think that the game's graphics will change untill its release? Maybe the textures might change, but I don't think the models will be more detailed.

It cannot much change when being based the game with the same graphical motor that the MKDA (just as the Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 4), and aside we have only seen a small one trailer (of which most of trailer they were FMV scenes) and images of the PSM (that has been able to see the magazine) that some saw clearly that they were still of the beta version.
All I'm saying is these features could be incorporated in a MK game without it loosing its MK feel.

If what you say about MK:Deception using the same graphics and physics engine as MK:DA is true, then that means we will be getting more or less the same quality of graphics as in MK:DA. Maybe the engines capabilities will be used a bit more, but you shouldn't expect a great improvement.

My words exactly.. DUHHHHHHHH. lol.

This was supposed to have been built from scratch, like MK:DA. Well I didn't see much difference in the trailer. The game engine looks exactly the same as the one used in MK:DA and the graphics still suck when compared to games like Soulcalibur 2 or DoA 3. This is not a new MK game, its only MK:DA with more arenas, characters and finishing moves. This game was only created coz MK:DA wasn't even half as good as we expected. In my opinion, MK:DA and MK:Deception could be one PERFECT game together. MK:deception just took everything MK:DA left out and continued its storyline.

Ed Boon a while back said that MK6 would use a 50% new fighting engine, and never said a 100% new one. I thought the graphic looked pretty good consider that it is 7 months away from release. Pornbartas you act as though you have seen the final version of the game. Everything that we have all seen is a very veyr early version of the game so it wont look as near of what it will look like. As for as gameplay goes a 50% new fighting engine is considerable. Personality I think that MK: DA is the greatest MK game/ fighting game ever made. Sequels are ment to out do the past installment. Just like MK2 was a inprovement over MK1. UMK3 was the MK that the MK team wanted to release 1st but couldn't do time. MK6 is everything the MK team wanted MK: DA to be

The characters, arenas, Konquest and other things are all being improved upon. You should be happy!

| Dext3r Wrote: MK looks better than SC2. Well DoA3's graphics are technically superior, but this game is only on Xbox. On the other hand MK still beats DoA3 in the creative department. MK delivers an unique and believable fantasy world while DoA just copies the real world. |
I don't think any fighting game 'copies' the real world. These are games.. many many examples of fictional content reamains in all of them.
MK has been around a lot longer than DoA. I think MK has a thing of its own.. games like Tekken, DoA, and Virtua Fighter are based on strict hand to hand combat. MK has all sorts of elements that make it MK. Soul Calibur is an excellent game graphically and gameplay wise.. and IMO - MK: Deception only has to beat Soul Calibur 2 and I'm pretty sure it will.
I just hope Killer Instinct comes back into the picture..
