Hey, I went down to my newsagents to get some cigarettes and i thought I'd browse through the magazine section. I remembered that last months PSW (Issue 56) said that the next issue would have a trailer of MKD and a review so i bought that and went home and it has a 2-page review of it.
There are no new screens but there is a few similar to what we saw at e3 but better quality and you can see whats going on more clearly (Bo Rai Cho vs Scorpion - scorpion in spiked wall) and Ermac vs Sindel in her black alt outfit).
The real new information is that the prison stage. the characters behind the bars will GRAB you or the opponent allowinf you a free hit - thats a confirmation on that.
The magazine also goes into what characters moves and fatalities (all what we've seen before - nothing new here)
Also they have a few characters listed on the page - one of them is JAX.
Its issue 57 and has Tony Hawks Underground 2 and is £3.99.For all the UK members - the trailer is nothing new but it is very good quality - there you have it three pices of news:

Prison stage- the characters behind bars will grab you or your opponent allowing them or you a free hit.

Jax- Jax is confirmed - but whether or not this is just wishful thinking we'll have to see

Improved Screens- just a few screens that were from E3 but were too dark and gritty - the screens featured in the mag are sharpened and brightened to show us whats going on and to spot things we couldn't see in the older screens.

All of that information is old. However, it is nice to know many more publications are dubbing Jax as confirmed.

Erm, excuse me Wanderer, but when did we ever get a confirmation of the prisoners holding yyou allowing your opponent to get a free hit?
Last I heard was that people were speculating that if you get too close they'd hit you or break free or whatever, we never had a confirmation of this from midway or anyother magazine until now, I rest my case.

You need to pay more attention then. As a matter of fact, many hours earlier yesterday I said that a developer in one of the many interviews on gaming sites said they could grab and bite you. I recall both, although this publication says its just grabbing. I didn't bother to go back to check the archives, because I knew the grabbing part would be correct. However, why don't YOU go back and check the archives since you seem to be getting this information just now.

Nope Wanderer you are wrong. The ineterviewer said the people in the cells inside of the wall in The Nether Belly ship would grab and bite you. Nothing about the prison stage was mentioned. Thnx for the info.

yep blacky is right.. I have the psm issue of subby on the cover..and it shows a sketch of demonic prisoners in the neather belly and it stats ed boon saying that they can possibly grab or inflict slight damage to u.. Nothing was ever mentioned of the prison stage wit the oldschool mk characters.. so ya apologize to the kind sir who posted this thread, he was only trying to be helpful.. If you want ot bash, bash the morons who come up with stupid theorys and wack story lines of mk.. like that idiot who believes the DK was a shokan.. ha!

I didn't flame him at all. As for this particular piece of information on the Prison, it was not in an interview in a magazine. I'll go through the archives and try to find it.

anyway, if you people used common sense you would see a yellow line over the cells indicating that they do minor damage to you by grabbing or whatever, so that was nothing new they can come out the cell and u unlock them with those poor graphics LOL.(some people say that which is dumb)

Jax, is he shown in high res in that mag, cause i hope he is shown in high res, which means he will be in a cutscene and die LOL i hate his ass, i like his attitude though, AHHHHHHHHH yeaaaaaaa!
