i've heard some rumors, about some crappy stuff like mk 7 being the first tournament in mortal kombat, but wouldn't it be cool if they did a spin off, like an online multiplayer game, were u start out first choosing sex, then race, then clan(or even no clan), then choosing which fighting style u specialize with and in the game u lern new fighting style slots up too 5,new moves, and a veriaty of special moves, and can even learn fatalities hari kiris friendships and so on. but not like in konquest mode u start as a kid(can choose age), but start from level 1 to 100. and like every four months, midway will announce an official mortal kombat tournament, giving the winners ultra rare one of a kind weapons and so on. if u guys have anything to add, or disagree post it.

another thing i thought of: if you have enough exp and money, u can open a dojo, or could even have ur own none playable characters army and fortresses. later on u can create ur own mini sub clan of ninjas(real online gamers), or cut throats. ofcourse the gameplay will stay true to its mk fighting style, so no diablo like keep clicking on the enemy, but real MK style

MK as a MMORPG? No.

However, MK as a MMOFG (Massively Multiplayer Online Fighting Game) with a similar style of play would be friggin incredible. It would also be my dream game.

Heh. Hell no. Online RPGs usually suck a big ass and there will be nothing new to tell one you already play MKD and many online RPGs cost money per month.

I think Mortal Kombat should still be a fighting game but it would be nice to have RPG elements in it. Like the whole level thing I like, the higher in you level, the more fighting styles you learn and the more slots you have for moves.

I think when you level up you take less damage and give more. So let's say a level 20 fighter fights against a level 10 character, the level 10 character would have to hit the level 20 character a piss load of times in order beat him.

I think it should be like boxing, people watch two people fight and they place bets like Koins and stuff for unlockable features that Midway could update after each year. There should be tournaments like you say. I think that would be awsome. I am all for this idea and if I were a producer i'd be at the drawing boards right now.

Hmmm...maybe not a mmorpg, but a regular rpg.
This idea has a lot of potential... keep in mind it doen't have to play like other mmorpgs. It could be a fighting game AND and mmorpg. You could create a char. Go around on quests, and the quest fighting would play as a cross between lord of the rings return of the king (The movie game), and mortal kombat. I guess kinda like what jade empire will be. And you could challenge other players to fight in the more traditional 1 vs 1 battle MK battle that well be set in diffrent areans dependent on where u are. Finally you can creat clans, and maybe even rivals!

i think this idea has merits if done right.. I like certain aspects like having ur own clan and having quarterly tournments.. But sadly, i cant play online... Lol... i think as long as it stays true to the mortal kombat spirit, it'd be cool to have MK online...

Cheers

No,no and no.That would be just a good of an idea as FFXI was.It ruined that series.I wouldn't like it to ruin this one.Leave the MMORPG's to EQ.
